The Canine Sound Lab | Calming Music for Dogs

Calming music for dogs, built on the science. Reggae and soft rock for dogs, the two genres that relaxed shelter dogs most in a University of Glasgow study, made long enough to cover your whole day.

New calming videos for dogs every week.

🐾 WHAT YOU'LL FIND HERE
• Reggae for Dogs: a numbered series of 8 to 12 hour videos for home-alone days.
• Soft Rock for Dogs: the other study genre. Rotate the two so the music keeps working.
• Fireworks and storms: fireworks sounds for dogs (a gentle training version) plus brown noise for dogs.
• Dog Sleep Music: slow, steady tracks for bedtime.

🔬 THE SCIENCE
In a 2017 study (Bowman et al., University of Glasgow / Scottish SPCA), kennelled dogs lay down more with music, and reggae and soft rock had the most positive effect. Dogs get used to the same music, so we keep making new volumes.

Music isn't a treatment for anxiety. If your dog struggles, see your vet or a behaviourist.

Tested on our own cocker spaniel and chocolate lab.
