I’m Ashanti Forde, SJ’s mom, and this channel is my way of documenting the incredible journey of Sterlyn Forde Jr. better known as SJ or THE CHAMP! 🏆

SJ is a young martial artist who trains and competes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Capoeira, and all things MMA! He’s a solid grey belt in BJJ, currently competing around 60 lbs, and you can usually find us at a competition 2–3 times a month! 🥋🤼‍♂️

Over the last two years, he’s collected a TON of medals, a few belts 😉, AND more importantly… experience, lessons, friendships, and memories.

SJ’s Tap Tales turns his matches into short films about wins, losses, funny moments, tough lessons, and everything that comes with growing up as a young martial artist.

One day, SJ hopes to compete in UFC or ONE Championship!

Until then, I’m just a mom behind the camera 🎥, capturing the journey one match, one tap, and one tale at a time!
