A few years ago I made a film called “Drift”. You may never have seen it, but I was and still am extremely proud of it. I knew I wanted to have a beautiful song to close out the film. As we were making it, I’d run every morning, and on my playlist was Laura Mvula’s “Father Father.” As soon as I heard it, I knew Laura would be the right being for the job. I went to her, and “It Would Be” was born.
It’s taken some time, but now we are sharing with you. For those who were waiting, it’s finally almost yours. For those new to it, I hope you love it like we do.

This has been one of the hardest adventures of my life and not just because of the 20 thousand words. I have learned a great deal about myself and people.
I’ve grown immensely and now know what stage fright looks and feels like.
This piece has filled me with terror and great joy and I’m grateful for every second. Now time for a break. Time to Meditate Time to Breathe Time to create a little space in my brain. I shall see you soon. ❤️
