A NEW ITIHAS DOCUMENTARY IS LIVE
18 November 1962. Rezang La. Ladakh.
At nearly 16,000 feet, around 120 Indian soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon, found themselves facing a massive Chinese assault.
They were cut off.
The terrain made reinforcement difficult.
The cold was unforgiving.
But they did not abandon their positions.
At the centre of this story was Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, who led his men through one of the most intense battles of the 1962 India-China War.
This is not just the story of one officer.
It is the story of 120 soldiers who stood their ground at Rezang La—and of the extraordinary resistance they put up against a much larger attacking force.

JAI JAI RAM — कुछ गाने सुनाई नहीं देते… महसूस होते हैं। 🕉️
This is a typical A. R. Rahman song.
You listen to it once and think, “Okay… it’s a good song.”
Then you listen to it again.
And again.
And suddenly, without even realizing it, the music starts growing on you.
That’s the crazy thing about A. R. Rahman’s music.
The same thing happened with “Jai Jai Ram.”
When I heard it for the first time, my reaction was honestly… “It’s okay. Not something extraordinary.”
But slowly, I started liking it.
Then I started listening to it on repeat.
And somewhere along the way, something changed.
At one point, I actually started crying.
Not because the song is sad.
But because there was something deeply divine about it.
That feeling when music suddenly stops being just music… and gives you a glimpse of something beyond words.
And the visuals…
WOW.
They are HUGE.
There’s a grandeur in the frames that makes you feel like we’re not simply watching a music video—we’re getting a tiny glimpse into the world of Ramayana that is being created.
And I couldn’t help but feel a little bit of Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the visual richness and scale.
And wait…
