I'll be honest, even when I watched this episode as a kid, it was one of my least favorite. Mainly because nobody knowing what was causing Sonic to run uncontrollably brothered me. It was this weird thing where only the audience knew, but the rest of the cast was oblivious or thought Sonic was acting strange. However, it's completely different in Japanese!
Apparently, Amy was mad at Sonic in the beginning, but then she actually figures out what's wrong with him and even goes out of her way to destroy the robot that had the chip. She even feels bad that she assumed the worst in Sonic.
Now, I love Amy, but there were times I felt she was a little bit unreasonable in different games or shows. I actually do like she's the one to solve the problem, even when she felt she inadvertently caused it. Honestly, this one of the few episodes I like much better in Japanese right now.
And the ending makes for a cute SonAmy moment. 💙💜

This is actually one edit I remember! In the original version of "Knuckles & Hawks", Knuckles went to a dive/bar looking for where Hawks was. But 4Kids had a strict rule about not showing alcohol, smoking, ect.
So their solution for that was editing the bar....into a Burger King. This is real! 😂 They also removed any mention of Japanese foods. It's almost as bad as the "Jelly Dounts" in Pokemon!
I've actually finished Season 1, but there's more I have to share. Because I've finally reached a point where the changes are much more obvious!
