As far as MC Hangar is concerned, since I said I'd try to have it ready soon:

It's in the works. I'm just sick, tired, and burned out.

Furthermore, I'm not entirely sure if I want to use my current script, given it seems like it would lose attention too quickly. I know you guys wanna hear the sound of my beautiful voice, and I'd like to describe the process of making the Isle in a video, but I feel like that should be its own video. What I currently have sounds more like behind-the-scenes content than an actual exciting battle to defend the pump.

Thus, I'll be using the battle footages specifically for two MC Hangar videos. First will be for solo, which will come out next weekend. Second will be for team and will come out the weekend after.

I've had a pretty terrifying past few months with what seemed like a lot at stake. That fear combined with the mess YT has gotten itself into with its AI moderation has been hugely demotivating. My personal projects for the most part have been put on hold because of that tension and because planning things through has been difficult.

Yesterday, however, was good news for me in that the real life stuff at stake seems to be mostly okay at this point. There are some things left to address, but for the first time in a while, I felt some of my motivation come back. It may be a while before I recover from the burnout enough to work more eagerly on my personal projects again - and probably even longer for the AI mess to be corrected, knowing YT - but to know that something can go right even when you least expect it is encouraging, to say the least. It's a bright spot even in the darkness of what seems like a hopeless cause.

I'm considering uploading and promoting two separate videos on MC Hangar at the same time. One would be the commentary-style story of how I set it up, which would include shorter footages of the solo and team runs, while the other would be a fuller version of the solo MC Hangar run. This is mainly to act as a test to analyze what my viewers want to watch from my channel at this point given I still can't go back to Roblox content yet (seriously, why haven't they learned?).

What do you guys think?

Here's hoping things are finally improving in the copyright abuse sector, because the upcoming MC Hangar video might be ready either sometime this week or next weekend.

In other news, I got tired of VSDC Video Editor lagging for me, so I'm switching back to DaVinci Resolve. I keep getting told it's a good editor even though I've already abandoned it once due to it being harder for me to use than VSDC - and trying to get back into it is not exactly easing my past experience with it. Nevertheless, if it helps me turn out better content, it'll hopefully be worth the trouble. Let's see what happens.

I'm hoping Discord's latest attempt at protecting privacy by having less sensitive options for verifying age sets a precedent that other companies will follow to start trying to ease the burden on all of us so that our most sensitive information doesn't end up on the dark web in the name of "age verification" and "protecting victims online". It's not a perfect solution to the problems with age verification, but it sounds like a step in the right direction. I'm very much hoping it is and praying that we'll get something much better out of this whole mess than what I and many others are concerned could happen with all of the lobbying for Digital ID and its related forms.

That said, a better solution would be to incentivize social media platforms to more proactively deal with bad actors rather than letting some AI do all of that work for them because it's clear that whatever models they're using (where applicable) make too many bad decisions to be trusted. Even a verification system isn't going to be enough to stop NSFW from being distributed to minors and bad actors tracking down and harming potential victims, as Roblox's attempted deal with an adult anime brand and the lack of any meaningful community improvement on their platform (including spoofing the system to pose as an age older or younger than you are) should demonstrate. Those of us who were paying attention all understood that the verification system would effectively be a cop-out and a black market incentive in practice rather than a measure that would assure internet safety.

That's enough ranting for now. If I go on any longer, I might as well be typing a 90-minute documentary on the Parasites.
