Last night on 09/30 at about 1945 hrs, a REACH Air Medical Services (A Global Medical Response company) Eurocopter EC 135P2+, flight REH16, callsign Reachmed 16, tail number N313RX crashed about eight seconds after takeoff from Pebbly Beach Helispot, into the waters near Avalon, Catalina Island, California.

Two of the five occupants perished, two were injured and rescued, and the patient is missing.
