💗 It's time for another Design & Unwind Live! 💗

Join me TODAY at 2 PM CDT as we spend a little time together preparing some upcoming jewelry projects featuring beautiful gemstones from Gemstone Orphanage!

This week, I'm doing things a little differently. Rather than working through an entire tutorial, I'll be getting several designs ready for their own upcoming videos.

🌸 First up is a pair of earrings inspired by Gemstone Orphanage's weekly challenge! I've already completed one earring, and I'll be preparing the second so we can get this beautiful design ready for its tutorial.

💎 I also have TWO necklace designs in mind that I'd love to start preparing for future videos. We'll look at the materials, talk through some design ideas, and see how much we can accomplish together!

As always, we'll chat about jewelry making, gemstones, upcoming projects, and whatever else comes up along the way! 😂

🌸🐉 Electric Bloom vs. Emberfang — Which Will You Choose?

Our newest Creative Color Challenge is almost here, and this time I've made a few changes!

Both collections are smaller and more affordable, with additional coordinating beads and findings available separately on my website, ArtisticCreationsByDena.com.

I'm still putting the finishing touches on the unboxing video, so it's taking a little longer than originally planned. But once it's ready, you'll get to explore both collections and VOTE for which palette I'll create with first!

💗 It’s time for another Design & Unwind Live: Tutorial Edition! 💗

Join me Thursday at 2 PM CDT as we create with the beautiful combination of rhodochrosite, bronzite, and rose gold!

I recently started designing a necklace using rhodochrosite chips and 8mm rounds, bronzite rondelles, and rose gold findings, and during this live we’re going to work through the design together and finish the necklace.

Then, if time allows, we’ll keep going! I’d love to create a coordinating bracelet and possibly a pair of earrings to turn this into a complete jewelry collection.

Since this is a Tutorial Edition, I’ll be walking you through the process as we create, so grab your beads and bead along with me—or bring whatever project you’re currently working on and just enjoy an afternoon of jewelry making and bead chat!

💗 A new Design & Unwind Live: Tutorial Edition is coming this Thursday at 2 PM CDT!

This time we’re working with a gorgeous combination of rhodochrosite, bronzite, and rose gold. 😍

🍂✨ I’m heading back out to an in-person event this weekend!

This Saturday, October 3, Artistic Creations by Dena will be at the Acorn Art Festival in Katy, Texas! I’ll have lots of my handmade jewelry with me—including some of the designs you’ve seen come to life right here on the channel. 💜

If you’re anywhere in the Houston/Katy area, I’d love for you to stop by, say hello, and see my creations in person!

The festival will also have arts & crafts vendors, music, food trucks, kid-friendly activities and more, so come out and make a day of it!

🛸 It’s UFO time! Join me LIVE Thursday at 2 PM CDT! 🛸

No, we’re not searching the skies for aliens… we’re tackling UFOs — UnFinished Objects! 😂

I think most jewelry makers have a few projects sitting around waiting for that final earring, a few more rows of beadwork, or simply a little inspiration to get them across the finish line. This week’s Design & Unwind Live is all about pulling out some of mine and seeing how many we can tackle together!

🇺🇸 First up, I want to get back to my July 4th earrings. This is one of those projects that has been patiently waiting for me to return to it, so let’s see if we can finally get it finished!

💎 Next, I’m hoping to finish Cayla, my Gemstone Orphanage “Little Sister.” She’s a beautiful Impression Jasper cabochon that I started bezeling during a previous live, and I’d really like to finally turn her into a finished design.

📿 And if we have time, we may start something completely NEW! I recently returned from the Potomac Beads Retreat with some beautiful new treasures, including rhodochrosite and bronzite beads, and I already have some ideas brewing for them.

Of course, we’ll also catch up, talk about what I’ve been working on lately, look at what’s coming up on the channel, and probably get distracted by a bead or two along the way. 😂

🌙✨ A NEW TUTORIAL IS LIVE!

Four gemstones...four individual beadwoven components...but definitely NOT four pieces of jewelry!

In today's tutorial, I'm using brick stitch and silver sheen obsidian to create four separate components, then joining them together to form the Midnight Tide Pendant—a large, star-inspired statement piece that turned out even better than I imagined!

I love how this design shows that sometimes the most interesting jewelry comes from looking at individual components a little differently. And remember—you don't need my exact beads to create along with me. Grab a gemstone and some seed beads from your stash and make your own version!

💙 And I have to share a little bit about my week...

I just got back from the Potomac Beads Retreat in Hagerstown, Maryland, and what an experience! I spent three days surrounded by beads, creativity, learning, and—best of all—other people who love this craft as much as I do.

I also got the opportunity to spend time with Kelly Dale and Allie Buchman, and of course I had to share a few pictures! 🥰 I came home with lots of memories, inspiration, and probably a few more beads than I left with. 😂
