Hi, I'm Christine — a Canadian living in Tirana, Albania with my daughter Summer. We left Canada after six years in China and landed here. Still here. Still figuring it out, and sharing all of it.
I cover the real cost of living, what the move actually looks like, and the stuff nobody puts in the highlight reel. I also work with people one-on-one as a relocation consultant when they're ready to stop researching and start planning.
Our crew also includes Ruth the bearded dragon, a Pomeranian, and a Chihuahua — all of whom have strong opinions about being on camera.

London Language Institute in Tirana is currently looking for native German and Italian speakers for part-time teaching opportunities.
But if you’re a native English speaker, French speaker, or speaker of another language, you’re welcome to fill out the form too. The school may have opportunities for other languages now or in the future, and they may contact you if they are looking for a teacher in your language.
The positions will begin part-time, with the possibility of discussing additional opportunities in the future.

Small update from Tirana 🔥
So... that gorgeous mountain view you've all seen in the background of every single video? It's currently on fire. Not dramatically close, but close enough that I'm not about to sit out on the balcony filming in smoke for the sake of a nice shot.
(Everyone's safe here, just smoky — no immediate danger to us.)
So for the next few weeks you'll see a different backdrop while things clear up — and honestly, it's been a while since I did an "on location" video anyway.
So tell me: where in Tirana would you want to see me film? A café, a specific neighbourhood, somewhere touristy, walking tour or somewhere totally random?
