I tested Houdini AI Assistant with GPT-5.5 to generate editable MaterialX / Karma shader networks directly inside Houdini.

The prompt was simple: create a Solaris/Karma Material Library with procedural MaterialX materials.

The result: fully generated shader networks for glass, wax marble, metallic, satin, translucent and showcase-style materials — all editable inside Houdini, not just a rendered image.

Procedural Sci-Fi Ship from One Prompt

I tested Houdini AI Assistant with a simple prompt:
“Generate a procedural sci-fi cargo ship.”

The result was way more interesting than expected: long hull, bridge canopy, cargo rack, thrusters, and procedural details generated automatically.

AI + Houdini is becoming a really powerful combo for procedural modeling.
