I wanted to do a video about Top Gear Rally, as it's a Nintendo 64 racing game that my brother and I grew up playing. As one of the rare 'realistic' racing games for the console, it was always an odd fit - perhaps that is why it never really seems to be discussed today.
That's a shame, as it was quite an impressive game for its time. The physics-based driving model gave it a much more tactile and grounded feel than many of the other games on the Nintendo 64. When replaying it, I also found the subtle presentation to have aged better than I would have expected.
I'd love to know if anyone else has fond memories of the game, like I do - sometimes I feel like I may be the only one!
Happy tenth anniversary to Blast Processing! Crazy to think I've been doing this for a decade already. A bit of an introspective video to celebrate the milestone, I hope everyone enjoys it.
Thanks to everyone who has watched and commented over the years, it means a lot to me.
Tune in tomorrow morning for a video that will be a little different to normal - a bit about the development of the channel, some history about how I got into video games and even a few shoutouts to some of the people who have supported me along the way.
I don't tend to talk a lot about myself on this channel, but I figure that a decade of videos has earned me a few minutes of indulgence ☺️
In the meantime, here is a short trailer for tomorrow's video. No premiere this time - it's scheduled to go live at 7am Sydney-time!
New video coming this weekend, all about Sonic Blast for the Game Gear.
There were actually quite a few Sonic platformers on the console - which was your favourite?
After playing a fair bit of it to get footage for the new video, I'm assuming no-one will answer Sonic Blast (but feel free to comment if you disagree!)
TrickStyle was an interesting early entry in the Dreamcast's library, developed by soon-to-be-legendary Criterion and featuring a soundtrack by Kurtis Mantronik. So why don't we ever talk about it anymore? Video goes live 8am (AEST) tomorrow morning - see you there!
The Game Boy received a trio of TMNT games from Konami in the early 90s. How do they stack up today? The video premieres in a couple of days - hit the button now to be notified as soon as it goes live!

Does anyone else in Australia remember The Zone?
Back in the days before YouTube, Channel 9 had a Saturday morning TV show dedicated to video games.
I've been watching old episodes over the past few months, and tomorrow I'm finally taking a trip back to The Zone.
9AM tomorrow, Sydney-time!

Bonus video! Recently, I talked about how a certain VHS promo tape from Mean Machines Sega helped shape my early love of gaming.
It has been decades since I have watched this tape in full. Let's check it out together for a bit of fun!
Did anyone else have this tape as a kid?

Next week is the channel's tenth birthday! I'll be releasing a full video for it, but the nostalgia trip whilst editing had me curious...
For long-time viewers, which 'era' of older Blast Processing video styles was your favourite?
