Welcome to my channel for the vinyl community reflecting my passion for collecting vinyl records. The channel has mainly focused on the vintage recordings including the mono era, the golden age of stereo era and more recently the dawn of digital recording. I chose the name Analogue Anorak to clarify I'm an enthusiast, certainly not an expert, who loves the music but also trying to dig up as much information about each recording as possible, such as anecdotes, the venues used, the equipment and techniques and the backroom engineers involved. I particularly love Decca Records so this dominates the content. I also focus in on second hand record labels that deliver great recordings without breaking the bank with occasional cherry picked audiophile records and reviews. My Hi Fi set up is far from high end was all about careful selection and getting the perfect sound for me. My audiophile philosophy for equipment and records is about bang for buck and having fun rather than perfection.
