Welcome aboard Aquila Maris, a 1976 Halmatic Tracker Mk1 powered by twin Detroit Diesel 12V71TI V12 turbocharged and intercooled diesels.
After sitting for three years, Aquila Maris is being brought back to life.
Follow the journey from purchase through repairs, restoration and upgrades — including the engines, hull, running gear, complete bow deck rebuild and everything still to come.
I’ll be sharing the work, the problems, the costs and eventually the adventures aboard this very unusual boat.
