I miss this type of paper takeaway containers. It was fun opening them up to see what's inside. These days, most restaurants use microwaveable containers with see through lids.

Some people reading this won't remember these or how to properly eat out of one.

This box doesn't have wire handles to hold the sides together though. If it did, it's called an oyster pail. As a matter of fact, the guy who invented it used it to hold oysters.

Last time I ate out of these boxes was 35 years. So when I cracked one open, it was like getting hit with a memory bomb.

Oh, and by the way, a delicious, comforting Cantonese Minced Beef with Green Peas recipe is on the way.... 🎥✌️

As a busy parent I don't want to spend too much time cooking a weekday meal. But I still want to make a tasty meal the family can enjoy. Thinking back when I was a kid, my mom would prep ingredients in the morning and have everything ready when she's back home after work. This, was one of those meals, a hearty and tasty braised chicken wings in oyster sauce, with ginger and spring onions!

One of my pet peeves. Ordering a Thai Holy Basil with shrimp and squid from restaurant and you get tiny little shrimp. Oh well, guess I'll make it myself.
