Historical fiction with Kvetoslav
I live in central Europe and I'm interested in historical fiction books and films, particularly those made in the 20th century. I created this channel to discuss my interest in books in particular.
I also collect historical figures (Papo, Schleich, etc) and enjoy peplum films. I hope to have a chance to share some of my interest with others of like minds.

I've learnt that American actor, Richard Harrison, star of many peplum films in Italy in the 1960s has recently passed away at age 90. I know Harrison from films such as: the Invincible Gladiator (1960), revolt of the Praetorians (1964), Giants of Rome (1964), the Saracens (1963), among others.
He later acted in Spagetti westerns and is famous for turning down the lead role in Fistfull of Dollars and recommending Clint Eastwood. Harrison joked that this was his greatest contribution to cinema. RIP.

28th September is the day of St Vaclav, one of the patron saints of Bohemia. English speakers know him better as Good King Wenceslas.

I own "Lady, here's your wreath from 1940". It has had a number of covers in reprints over the years. Which is your favourite? (I own cover 4).

I knew I owned this one. Just had to find it buried in my collection. This is the companion book to "22 Czech legends" from my last video. I was reminded of this book by my buddy, Saracen's Salute, on his video about Czech books. I don't plan to make a video about this one as he has already covered it well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VdyS...

Hiya, I just want to share friend of the channel, Dave Dhannoo's excellent video breakdown of Catcher in the Rye. He really digs deep and has great insight.

Hi friends, I'm off with the family on a Carribean adventure for the next few weeks. I've got videos set to drop while I'm away, but I probably won't find a chance to respond to comments. Wishing everyone well.
