The culmination of a 3 year creative journey. I have so many emotions tied to this body of work. Joy, pride, pain, stress and excitement to name a few. I chose to take the long route and bet on myself. There were moments where I felt like it was pointless, moments where I felt undervalued but I never gave up on myself because I knew who I was and what I was capable of.
#OITO is special. From every word that I wrote, to every hour spent recording myself, the connections made with this talented ensemble of artists and producers, to the multiple mixes and ideas I had the freedom to explore, to the final product I am now presenting to the world.

What's going on everybody!? It's been a very long time and I'm here to update and clear up some questions I've been getting over the past couple years.
First off, you can see the channel name has changed from GranddadRDLR to just Granddad Woolly. This is something I've been planning to do for a while to have full consistency across all my platforms. And it just makes sense to be honest because it is my channel so why not have it officially named.
Second is Woolly Reviews, I've been getting a TON of questions about the state of the show and I'm here to tell you it will not be coming back, at least not in the form you knew it as. It's possible there could be a shorts version of it created in the future but that is also not guaranteed. Family, work and other projects/goals have taken more priority in my life and it just wasn't sustainable and fulfilling for me as it once was and I didn't want to give you anything less than the quality you all had become accustomed to. That show was the reason a lot of you became fans of mine and I understand that it may be disappointing to hear. It is something I truly cherish but it also has to feel right for me to return to it and at the moment it doesn't.
Third, though I have been absent here I have been still very much active online. I have been on a weekly @deadendhiphop presented gaming podcast called @DeadEndGaming as well as streaming live on Twitch.tv/GranddadWoolly. My gaming channel on YouTube @GameDaddauploads full streams and shorts from my Twitch as they are recorded so make sure you tap into that.
Fourth is the music. I've been hard at work the past few years on a new album which is the follow up to my 2019 project Kanodadda: EXPRMNT VII. It is set to drop this year with some very notable people involved with it and is probably my best work yet.
Lastly, I want to just thank you all for supporting me and also still being around and caring enough to ask where I've been. I'm blessed to be able to have the ability to resonate with an audience in many different ways and I will never take that for granted.
I'll be back this year with content surrounding the new album and who knows, maybe you'll get some surprises as well. Whatever it is just know it's 100% GRANDDAD APPROVED!

As we all know our lives have been drastically affected due to Covid-19 and that includes myself which has slowed down the final needs for me to be ready to get back to making videos for you all.
Trust that I want to get back to making reviews as soon as possible and I definitely will. I hope you all bear with me as I find a way to get things back the way they should be because I don't want to come back with a quality of work any less than what you all expect.
In the meantime, I have begun to regularly stream on #Twitch where I am gaming and creating music all while being the Granddad Woolly y'all know and love. I'm also working on a new form of a live album review that will be on Twitch to hold everyone off until Woolly Reviews returns. If you all want to connect with me during this time that is the best way and we can begin to build a dope community there the same as we've done here on YouTube.

What's going on everyone? Been meaning to do this post for awhile but I feel with the year ending I might as well let y'all know what's up.
So you may have realized it's been a few months since my last video/review. This year has been one of the busiest yet most difficult for me as far as keeping consistent with content. With me releasing a new album, doing the weekly Dead End Gaming Podcast and having a family to take care of and provide for, the time I usually had dedicated to making videos has gotten smaller and smaller. It also doesn't help that so many albums, movies, shows etc dropped on a frequent basis that honestly I couldn't keep up with it all and began to feel burnt out and saw the channel becoming more of a chore rather than an enjoyable outlet.
Mix that with the constant changes with YouTube policies causing most if not all my videos to become demonetized (even though I wasn't making much off them anyway) and stalled growth of the channel I felt the time spent working on these videos was starting to become a little pointless.
So....I decided to step back and re-evaluate what worked and what wasn't for the channel. What I felt my subscribers enjoyed/wanted from me the most as well as what I enjoyed creating the most. And now I'm ready to give you all some insight on that and what my plans are for 2020 and beyond.
First and foremost, Woolly Reviews is not going anywhere. That series has given me way too much for me to end it but after doing research I've figured it does need to be condensed down to strictly music and movie reviews (Which I've been gradually doing anyway). Looking back, those are the two subjects with the highest success rate and demand. That also will allow me to review more of both.
Let's Talk About The Sh!t is also here to stay. Those will be few and far between but will focus on random things I want to speak on. Just like I've done in the past.
GamingWithTheGranddad will also still be here and continued on the Dead End Gaming Youtube Channel. Honestly I have a lot of fun doing Let's Plays and I feel the platform we've build over at Dead End Gaming will accommodate that better than my main channel. Also, I will be doing more Twitch streams, at least once a week.
I also will be doing more with my own music as well. After dropping KanoDadda: EXPRMNT VII, I've gained a rejuvenated inspiration to create music and I'll be releasing and posting more of it so get ready.
I'm also going to try and do more collaborations (new and returning) on all fronts and forms of content I create.
Lastly, I'm going to be doing this all at a new location with some new/upgraded equipment which will take time but it will all be worth it in the end.
So that's it y'all. Sorry I've been out of the game and won't be ending the year/decade with y'all with videos but life is life and I have to do things my way in order to give you all the best I have to offer.
