Over on the second channel I interviewed Ryan North, arguably the best current writer of superhero comics right now. Check it out, and if you haven't already, pick up his Fantastic Four run, it's an instant classic.
Over on my second channel I did a quick round up of my favorite graphic novels of the year so far. (I know a lot of you don't even know I *have* a second channel so I thought I'd post it here as well)
On the second channel I spent some time talking about Sam Kieth's monumental career, from co-creating Sandman, to creating The Maxx, and so much other great work.
He was on my list as a subject for a documentary for this channel, but I've always struggled to find enough interviews to really pull something together. I would have loved to have interviewed him myself.
A truly unique voice in comics, a reminder of another era, and a huge loss.
Tomorrow's video is the most ambitious thing I've ever made. I conducted 11+ hours of interviews over the past 10 months, and the resulting video is over 80 minutes long. I hope you'll set aside the time to watch it and will enjoy the result!
New Video Tomorrow! My first biography video of 2025, and one I'm very excited to share with you guys. Here's your clue: an American artist who is a celebrity in Europe, but virtually unknown in America.

Tomorrow! The Joe Matt video is finally here.
Even if you don't know who Joe Matt is, if you enjoy my videos or you like cool comics (or both!) I hope you'll consider checking it out.

Tomorrow's video is about superhero comics! Finally! But seriously, it's about one of my favorite cartoonists of all time.
Below are some of his biggest influences, any guesses who it is?
Of course, patreon subscribers (www.patreon.com/c/mattwith4ts) already know the answer...

New video tomorrow! Here's your hint for the topic: One of the all-time great manga artists, who only found fame in his 50s... and not in Japan.
