I like feligami alot

I think this quote from Felix ( slide 3 ) describes their relationship and them as individual characters very well

When Kagami gets akumatized in perfection, her ability is for her to not be able to see anyone else and remain alone in peace, so that no one can hurt her like marinette accidentally did. She wasnt able to see anyone else, but the people never actually faced any harm. They were still there, it was only she who they were invisible to.

I think this is super showing of who Kagami is as a person in general. Even when akumatized, her ability was never a power that would bring any physical harm to marinette. It was just a way for her to shield herself from being hurt

On the other hand, in emotion Felix transforms into Argos and makes everyone vanish using his power. Unlike with Kagami, people did become harmed because of him. He didn’t do this for himself like Kagami did, but he did it to create a world where Adrien and Kagami are no longer controlled by their parents. I find it so interesting how they both made everyone disappear but had very different motivations and ways for doing so

Also a big part of feligami is how Felix learns to respect kagami’s boundaries and wishes. Her mother is one of the people he vanished in emotion, despite kagami being clearly distressed and not wanting her gone. He wasn’t able to understand at the time that kagami genuinely loved her mother even if she was overbearing. I think partly this is because of Felix’s own dad, Colt, and how bad of a father he was. Felix has some pretty clear resentment towards his father who is no longer in the picture, so to him he can’t understand how Kagami can love her mother when she doesn’t have much freedom

This is further demonstrated in pretension, when Felix kidnaps Kagami to ‘save’ her from her mother. Kagami snaps at him and tells him very harshly that she does not want him to act like this, and throughout all of this episode they grow closer and Felix’s priority goes from ‘saving’ Kagami from her mother to ensuring her safety. At the end of the episode Felix literally gives her the real ring and encourages for her to choose her own path

Another thing about them that contrasts is their family life. Felix’s mother was forced into motherhood yet loves her son unconditionally and always supports him. Kagami’s mother willingly created Kagami with the peacock miraculous but their relationship is strained. It is because kagami’s mother sees her as more of a prize to show off than her own daughter. While her mother does love her deep down, I don’t think her love is completely unconditional like Felix’s mother’s love is

I do understand where a lot of the criticism comes from, and I don’t deny that felix’s behavior was really creepy in pretension. I know they don’t have the best writing or anything and are very rushed but they’re so dear to me 😭😭 I think about them a lot recently
