Hey folks,
Exactly ten years ago today, I uploaded the first song to this channel, so it’s my channel’s birthday!
The reason I uploaded my first songs was that my folk-metal band had broken up, and I still had a bunch of songs I’d written for the band. Feel free to check out the oldest songs on the channel—they’re just demos for the band (by the way, there were lyrics too, but most of the songs are instrumental)
... I’ve been writing my own songs since I was a kid, and after my band broke up, I just kept writing—and I’m still doing it ;)
There haven’t been that many new songs in the last few months, but I feel the urge to compose more, and I’m aiming for a regular upload schedule—a new track every other week, if possible.
And finally: I write music out of an inner urge, without needing to be successful. And yet, I’m really happy when lots of people listen to my music, comment on it, like it, and support me by buying it on Bandcamp. Thank you a thousand times!

this week I was hiking in the woods around my hometown Basel... this week I also spent many hours working on a new song that I will call “Otherworld”.

my new mandolin, I love it!
Mandolins are used a lot in Celtic music, but they are also often found in Italian folk music.
Tomorrow Sunday my new song will be released on my YouTube channel, for once not a Celtic song but a mixture of Italian folk music and traditional music from the Middle East, stay tuned!
