We’re on this eternal dance of freedom and responsibility, relationship and isolation, beginnings and ends and beginnings again.

The art is to be fully alive. Not waiting for the right place and time. Not waiting to be someone or something else. Not living in comparison or contempt. Not holding our breath as we anticipate the next. Not only accepting where we are, but embracing it. Saying yes to life!

Heavy Rains and a Flash Flood has caused our basement and thus also my studio to be flooded!

Dear Riders, (read this like a journal entry or like the kind of letters we used to still send in the mail) 📨

I've been writing songs again lately. Lyrics and melodies that resonate with my life, with experiences and feelings deep in my heart.
It feels good to create. I'll share more when I'm ready.

I'm still working on my latest documentary! It's taking me much longer than I anticipated, but alas that's life.

I'm brainstorming ideas for new merch that I believe you'll enjoy.

Finding myself dancing between absolute love for life and growing grief and anger about the horrors that are being done around the world.

Sometimes it makes me feel so helpless. Other times I need to put down the phone and focus on something else, as to not be consumed by the tragedies.

Then I am reminded of what's right in front of me. My children, my family, my responsibilities, my life. It's this balance of not turning a blind eye to what's happening in the world, but also remembering that in order to still have something worth fighting for, we must keep life and hope alive. We must get back to doing the next right thing. To be a light in our own homes and communities and the places we've been entrusted with. That's where it begins.

You all are part of that mission for me. A group of people who choose to watch my videos and even subscribe. I have a responsibility to create something of value and substance and I don't take that lightly.

I hope when you spend some of your precious, finite time here; you feel a little bit more loved, seen, heard, safe, entertained, educated and alive.

We owe it to ourselves and to this fragile life, to live it fully and well!

I'm fed up with these labels that are money hungry and corrupt!

Even after trimming out parts of a song and video, significant portions of my content are being claimed when I'm neither playing the song nor showing the video and I'm simply talking about various topics. How is that legal?

How can a company claim huge portions of a video where I'm talking about lyrics, about psychology, philosophy or theology etc.

So my intellectual property and the thoughts that I had after listening to something belong to you too, because your song triggered that discourse?

Let me reintroduce myself to all of you who have recently joined the community.

Thank you so much for subscribing. There are many channels around the world with millions of views, but far less subscriptions. I suppose it's one thing to get people to click on a video and even watch your content and it's a whole other thing to convert them into members and participants of something you're trying to build.

So whenever I see people actually subscribing and wanting to see more, becoming members, commenting, and engaging with each other it makes me so very happy. I want to build something worthwhile!

A place where you can find education, where you can be entertained, of course, or we can laugh and cry together, ponder, and discuss, and where you can find encouragement. If there's anything in my videos or any content that I create and share, I wanted it to be life-giving.
Something that would further you in your journey as a human. Something that would make your life just a little bit more worthwhile, something that would give you the strength to choose life and create something special of your own.

Perhaps in learning to sit with death, we find the source of life. The fact that everything is transient, allows us to give meaning to what we know won’t always last.

Remembering my first born daughter Melena Rose today, whom I lost half way through the pregnancy - this is her 14th eternity day.

And I’m in awe and humbled by all the life and blessings that have happened since that season of pain and darkness.

Just look at the fruit of not giving up. Of choosing life. Of staying.

Watch a leaf fall to the ground and wither, a season of barren winter and seeming loss, only to realize that as it decays it also nurtures the very same soil it came from; as it feeds the tree’s roots, witnessing it arise to new heights, to new strength, fruit and life.

As above so below. Your story isn’t over.
Keep dancing in the light during your time in the sun.
