Moving was easy — staying, and making a life in Norway, that's where the real story begins. StoryGuide began as a channel for video production tips—helping storytellers create better content. That practical advice can still be found in the archives. But four years ago we began a new chapter in our lives when my wife and I left Seattle and moved to Bergen, Norway.

The latest series, "Moving to Norway", explores both the practical and the personal. We capture our everyday lives in Norway: cultural surprises, small victories, and the adjustments that come with moving abroad. Our stories share milestones, like buying a house, renovating with respect for heritage, or navigating systems that simply befuddle us. You’ll see us stumble, improvise, and succeed. These are tales of personal discovery — what it means to move, to stay, and to create a sense of belonging in a new country.

Now I tell stories about what it means to begin again.

StoryGuide

I have received lots of questions about the next video. Unfortunately I’ve been tied up with work and school, but I thought tomorrow I’d share something I did for a class. It is not part of my “Moving to Norway” series, in fact it is really quite different. This is about my dogs behavior when they are left alone. If you find it boring, I completely understand. But I will cycle back to my usual storytelling once I come up for air. Let me know if you learn anything after watching.
