@MichaelBlakeyMO
From living in a minivan to touring the country in a Subaru, Michael Blakey is a Midwestern ball of energy filled with optimism, hope, and a nice dash of reality that keeps him grounded. In 2012, he left his home in Missouri on a quest to find himself, and to this day, the search continues. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and his fans know it. His vulnerability on and off stage is what attracts people to him and his music.
After every song, he peels back a new layer of how he views himself and his place in the world. His music is a genre-bending roller coaster. One moment, he's finger-picking his way to the softest part of your heart, and the next he's jumping off a drum riser or joining a circle pit in the crowd. His energy and presence on stage are sure to make you leave the show with a smile.

Never follow the money, always follow your heart.
5 months ago I was living in St. Louis working a job to pay a mortgage for a house I was living in without my wife. When that job fired me, I panicked first, but then I did a happy dance because I knew I was moving to be with Lucy. Never been so happy to get canned.
As Standby For Love says: "Gonna pack my bags and sell this house, follow my heart and fly down south"
Download before it hits streaming at my link in bio.

Can't wait to share this song with the world. The moment this song was born was the moment I realized I couldn't live in a different city as my wife. Wasn't that a silly idea to start with right?
