Every year, dozens of London black cabs form one of the most heartwarming convoys on the road 🚕
The Children’s Magical Taxi Tour sees more than 200 children with chronic, debilitating or life-limiting illnesses travel from London to Disneyland Paris for a three-day adventure.
More than 100 licensed black cabs set off from Canary Wharf before travelling to Dover, crossing the Channel and continuing through France to Disneyland Paris. The convoy can stretch for more than three miles, with support from police, ambulance crews and French authorities along the way.
Even more incredibly, the drivers donate their time, taxis and fuel completely free of charge, while the trip is funded through donations, sponsors and fundraising.
It’s an incredible reminder of what can happen when an entire community comes together to give children and their families a few days they’ll never forget ❤️
A case has emerged in the UK involving a British passport and a concealed marriage. A Pakistani man obtained British citizenship, but later, his first wife and children in Pakistan came to light. According to the report, Masood Ahmed married a British Pakistani woman in the UK and subsequently obtained British citizenship. However, during the citizenship application process, important information about his first marriage was not disclosed. After receiving his British passport, the man revealed that he had a wife and four children in Pakistan and wanted to bring them to the UK. His first wife and children were also granted permission to come to the UK. However, the Home Office later revisited the case and questioned why the first marriage had not been disclosed when he applied for British citizenship. The matter has now reached the courts, challenging the Home Office's actions. The most important point is that the court's decision will determine the legal outcome of this case. This case is particularly significant because it raises questions about the legal consequences of providing false or incomplete information when applying for British citizenship. What do you think the court will decide in this case? Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow for more UK immigration updates. #UKImmigration#BritishPassport#BritishCitizenship#UKVisa#UKNews

In 1978, 15-year-old Mary Vincent was hitchhiking near Berkeley, California, when she was picked up by 50-year-old Lawrence Singleton. Singleton drove her to Del Puerto Canyon near Modesto, California, where he brutally raped and assaulted her. To cover up his crime and ensure she would not survive, Singleton used a hatchet to sever both of her arms below the elbows before throwing her off a 30-foot cliff into a ravine and leaving her for dead.
Despite experiencing catastrophic blood loss and severe trauma, Vincent demonstrated extraordinary will to survive. She used dirt and mud to pack her bloody stumps to stanch the hemorrhage and slow down the infection, preventing herself from bleeding to death. She then hauled herself up the steep embankment of the ravine and walked nearly three miles along Interstate 5 until she managed to flag down a passing couple, who immediately dialed emergency services.
Vincent survived her injuries, received prosthetic forearms, and went on to provide crucial courtroom testimony that led to Singleton's conviction and a 14-year prison sentence. Singleton served less than eight years before being paroled due to prison overcrowding, a release that sparked widespread public outrage and legislative reform regarding violent crime sentencing. Vincent later advocated for victims' rights, though her assailant went on to commit another murder in Florida in 1997, for which he was sentenced to death before dying in prison in 2001.
According to Islamic traditions, after the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, around 7 AH (628 CE), the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ sent a letter inviting the Roman Emperor Heraclius to Islam. The letter was delivered to Heraclius by Dihyah al-Kalbi رضي الله عنه.
According to the narrations, the letter presented the invitation to Islam with great respect and wisdom. The Seerah traditions also mention that Heraclius asked several questions about the letter and about the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
It is also reported that an ancient copy of this historic letter is preserved in the museum of the King Hussein Mosque in Amman, Jordan, and is presented as an important piece of Islamic heritage. However, there are differing views regarding the authenticity and historical provenance of the preserved copy.
