Updated show flier...and yes, it's still growing đ
Wherever you are, we're coming! And if your city is sold out, we're probably adding another.
Tickets are going so fast that I stopped counting all the DM's asking to squeeze "just 1 more seat in". I don't make the rules, these theaters care about their fire safety đ
Come join us, and of course, tune in on the big day (MARATHON DAY)
November 1st because my team and I are taping everything live!
The unfortunate truth is that my own culture does not exactly care for nor believe in my âvoiceâ and they are even less enthusiastic about me voicing it!
It is not uncommon for some of my own people to chide me even today âwhy did you have to say thatâ about the most obvious, banal, stupid incongruity that needed to be pointed out.
Gloria Steinem paved the way
American women taught me that I have a voice and a right to use it.
Over the years Iâve watched American women carry the fight for womenâs rights while a somewhat comfortably set up brown woman like me didnât have to worry about it. I was married to a good guy, I came from a âgoodâ family. Why would I involve myself?
That delusional existence ended when my own life came crashing down again during covid and I had had it. NO MORE. I was going to take charge of my life.
American women cannot bear the burden for all women of the world. All women have to step up. Especially those living in comfort in other cultures who feel ânone of this feminism stuff applies to meâ. I know the feeling, I was one of them. But we live in a connected world. Women without privilege have no power, the men have created the current mess we live in - they love how things are! So if women with privilege wonât get involved - because their own existence depends on their silence and complicity, how will this get solved???
How lucky were we that both Zoya and I got to say all this to Gloria last year in person, thanks to our incredible friend Bobbi Brown - promising her that we join this fight and remain committed to it.
Gloriaâs love of India was evident. She shared observations about womenâs rights as they pertain to brown women and emphasized specifically - âproblems of women in the west are not removed from problems of women in Asia.â In those few hours, she helped both Zoya and I our unique position between two cultures and how we can effectively communicate and execute it with warmth and love.
Gloria told us she was a fan of my comedy and my heart skipped a beat.

Watching my husband find more fulfillment helping people one-on-one than he ever did on Wall Street has been one of the most beautiful surprises of our lives.
Turns out, the âdad-codedâ calm he brought to our family through every financial storm is exactly what the world needed too.
Just reach out. Email financedadpodcast@gmail.com, learn what he has to offer, and book a consultation for a taste.
His YouTube page (@FinanceDad) is already flooded with nearly forty full episodes, each one a glimpse into the steady, thoughtful way he helps people see things clearly. See for yourself.
Hundreds of students, the best crowd I could ask for. Naturally, a little dramaâŚone hour to figure out an opener (this is why I had kids). Zoya crushed it, Brij got successfully embarrassed by the end of the show, and everyone was yelled at for choosing the show over their homework. A great night.
