I invite you to journey with me as I share what I find in my endless pursuit of the Truth according to God.
On my channel, through my own journey, I investigate key questions about how we should live as human beings according to God’s design and will.
How should we think? How should we interact with the world and take care of ourselves? How should we pursue our faith in practice?
To answer questions like these, I gather insights from Holy Scripture, Church teachings, and what humans have discovered about God’s world and about ourselves.
I believe faith is a journey, and my goal is simply to serve as a stepping stone for others on the path to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 5:8-9 "For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light, for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true.”

Excited to announce that our family is expecting another little girl in October, and I’m slowing down on YouTube during the months of October and November so I can focus on receiving that beautiful gift from God.
As Psalm 127:3 says:
"Behold, children are a gift from the Lord, the fruit of the womb, a reward."
What that means for my channel for October & November:
• I’m still converting to Catholicism! I’ll continue OCIA (virtually for a bit) and will be sharing my weekly OCIA Journey shorts (with a slight delay the week she is born)
• Long-form videos will come out every other week
• I’ll be generally less active in the comments
• I’m aiming to be fully back with you in the Christmas season
Thank you for watching, and for your prayers. May God bless you on your journey!

Rachel Seeks the Truth
This September, I’m beginning the process of becoming Catholic. When I first learned it typically takes 7-9 months, I was surprised — every other church I’d joined was basically a registration form.
So what exactly is OCIA, and why in the world does it take so long?
In this video I break down the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA):
• What OCIA actually is (formerly RCIA)
• The five main stages (from “I’m curious” to “I’m living it”)
• What happens in each stage
• A bit of the historical background
• Why the timeline makes sense once you understand the purpose
• My plan to document my OCIA journey here on my channel
This process is true formation, not just information — a journey of encountering Christ, learning the faith, and gradually being integrated into the life of the Church.
If you’re curious about Catholicism, considering OCIA yourself, or just want to understand what the process involves, this is for you.
OF NOTE: This is a general overview video and there are more detailed nuances between program participants who have already been baptized in another denomination vs those who have never been baptized. Additionally, every parish may have slight differences to their approach at various stages. For anyone considering OCIA, I encourage you to reach out to your local parish and get more specific information.

Rachel Seeks the Truth
I can’t believe we’ve reached 1,000 subscribers — thank you everyone for all of your amazing support, and if you feel compelled to, please pray that God continues to guide me to share truth with integrity.
I wanted to use this milestone to share about the question that started me on my journey and still drives everything I do here on my channel:
What does it actually mean to live life as a human being?
In other words, what is the human experience meant to be — fully — according to the God who made us?
In my new video, I walk through the journey that question has taken me on, and how I’ve come to explore it through three connected areas:
• Mind — how we think and form true beliefs
• Body — how we inhabit and care for this physical life
• Soul — how we live, love, and see everything in light of God
This video and this channel in general is not so much about having all the answers. It’s about seeking truth together — rooted in Scripture, the teaching of the Church, the world God created and called good, and what we humans have discovered along the way.
If this question and the answers it may uncover interest you, I’m glad you’re here.
ADDITIONAL CONTEXT:
Here are some key takeaways from Psalm 139:14 (referenced at the end of the video):
“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made” — Psalm 139:14
Your worth is built-in:
Your value does not come from what you look like or what others say, but from God who made you.
Life has clear purpose:
Nothing about how you were made is a mistake.
A call to self-respect:
Knowing this truth encourages people to treat their bodies and minds with dignity and care.
