Ric Couchman was born in Georgetown, Guyana. His background is in Theology, Literature, and Philosophy. He is a retired educator who taught at the Robert Louis School in New York City for twenty-six years. Ric sees himself as a synthesis of congruence and contradiction. He enjoys living, laughing, and loving and sees Nature as his playground, his sustenance, and his inspiration. Freedom, thought, and creativity are all sacred to him.
Ric loves writing poetry. Through his writing, he shares his viewpoint on current affairs, religion and philosophy, health and fitness, culture and society, education, science and technology, and the arts. His writings are flavorful, focused, and funny; they also provide food for thought. Ric's desire is that his poetry and other writings become the starting point for continued conversation.

Apreneurs! Look at this surprise recognition!
When consistency and conviction pay off. When I started five years ago, the word "authorpreneur" was not popular. People even thought I invented it.
I did not but popularized it in Jamaica. I was so captured by the concept that it became the subject of my doctoral dissertation. I started several initiatives with the name, one of which is this podcast. I am glad I named the podcast after my book and trademarked the name "Authorpreneur Secret$™" as today the word "authorpreneur" is becoming very common.
I am pleased with this unexpected recognition. It is better than I dreamed.
The podcast is now on a break and we will resume in October 2026.
