So I know thre has been a lot of controversy around malhun hatun being frictional and stuff and I want to say something
So, firstly let me clarify this
There are 3 type of theories regarding Osman-1's wife
1. Sheikh edabali's daughter Rabia bala hatun was the first wife and malhun hatun was the second
2. Sheikh edabali's daughter malhun hatun was the first wife of osman Ghazi and bala hatun was the second one
3. Osman-1 only had one wife who was given several titles [Rabia, Mal, Malhun, Kamariye, zümrüdüanka, etc]
Which one is true?
I don't know half of the books say it was malhun and half say it was bala but only one book among all the ones I came across said malhun the daughter of ömer bey
The rest others said that Sheikh edabali's daughter was Osman-1's wife!
So did malhun bin-te ömar exist?
Yes she did, she existed in the same time line as osman bey and bala hatun (mal, malhun hatun) hence many people confused her as Osman-1's wife however she had no connection with him
Is the character played by Yıldız Çağrı Atiksoy frictional?
Not entirely but kind off (you might be wondering what kind of answer is that)
Well to be honest I don't think we should consider her entirely frictional! ozge and yildiz both played the same character just the origin of yildiz's character is not historically true and I think she did a great job while playing the character and she does not deserve the hate and backlash she is facing! so yes I love both of them and I support both the characters but not the origin they portrayed for yildiz's character.

Have I read the book consisting of 2908 pages about her time and life?

Will I still watch the whole series?

Also I didn't read a lot on hurrem, nurbanu and mihrimah and I am thinking if I should watch magnificent century: hurrem instead of reading about them 🤔
