The typhoon we had during summer vacation at Disney was pretty crazy too, but today’s storm is something else. Heavy rain since this morning, with the typhoon passing through during the day…

And tomorrow is the national qualifying competition for cheer dancing. My daughter had a quick lesson this morning before the weather got bad. Good luck to us 🍀

Dealing with people can be hard sometimes. Are you good at it? (especially among parents)

Some people naturally think about how others might feel, while others focus more on what needs to be done.

Neither is necessarily right or wrong.
But sometimes, those differences can be tiring.

I still think a little compassion can make a difference.

We don’t always have to agree, but being right and making things better aren’t always the same thing.

This whole experience has made me think a lot. It’s been a little exhausting, but I want to hold on to the things I value.

And maybe I just need to take a step back, breathe, and take care of my own heart, too. 🌿

I’ll never forget 9/11 🕊️

That day, I was sitting in front of a big desktop computer, working on my thesis and typing away on my favorite Dell keyboard. (If had iPhone back then, I definitely would’ve taken a picture. Or maybe not… because it was just everyday life. Sorry, I deleted the previous post because that wasn't really the point of my post.)

Anyway, I spent my college years in the U.S. Back then, there weren’t many jobs that could sponsor a visa, so staying and building a life there wasn’t easy.

After returning to Japan, I also experienced the Great East Japan Earthquake and learned that the everyday life we take for granted is never really guaranteed.

Today, I’m grateful that I can still connect with people around the world from Japan, and I’ll never forget this day.

Maybe that’s why I love sharing the simple, everyday life of Japan with people overseas 🇯🇵

Stay tuned. I am editing the next cooking video this week 🍳

My neck isolation just won’t move to the right or left. I thought I could do it, but… 😂

Could it be because of the shape of the bones in my neck?

I’ve watched so many videos, and they all say not to move your shoulders, but my forehead just stays in the same position—it doesn’t move separately from my neck at all…

I really worked hard this month 🌻

I planned out my kids’ study time and activities, so they could enjoy their summer break while still keeping up with their studies. I also discovered that Disney can actually be fun even in pouring rain! 😂☔️

Tomorrow is the start of the second term, and there’s also a cheer competition coming up. 📣

And just now, I had a lovely conversation on the bus with an 80-year-old woman. She told me she used to be a teacher. She was so energetic, and we really hit it off. I have a feeling she must have been a wonderful teacher.

Now the big question is… when am I ever going to find time to edit videos? I have SO many of them, and my iCloud storage is basically screaming at me with notifications like some kind of ad. lol

Me: Are you okay? Where are you now? How many minutes until you get there?

👧🏻: I’m at ○○ Station.

Me: …You’re already there! 😂

👧🏻: Yeah.

Me: …So what was this phone call about? 🤣

In the end, I hung up without really understanding what the call was about. But it was heartwarming to know that we were looking at the same moon 🌕
