After creating my Cinderella ballgown, I just couldn’t let it go… (wrong fairytale, I know 😉). With Snow White making a big comeback thanks to the new live-action movie, I thought: why not take a bite out of that apple and create a version of my own?

I wanted to keep the classic charm but give it a little twist, because sometimes you have to be the fairest one of them all and make it your own! Instead of the traditional bright yellow, I went for a soft light gold skirt to give it a royal shimmer. I added delicate lace, cut the apple-shaped details into the sleeves for a sweet touch, and designed a dramatic standing white collar (because every queen—or should I say princess—needs to hold her head high!).

And yes… I couldn’t resist adding a train. Why? Because when you’re sewing up a fairytale, sometimes you just have to go the extra mile, or should I say, the extra forest trail 🌳.

The process was no poisoned apple, it took time, patience, and a sprinkle of magic thread to get from idea to ball-ready gown. Seeing it all come together, from the first stitches to the final flourish, feels like watching the woodland creatures finish your chores for you… almost!

So here it is: my Snow White-inspired ballgown. What do you think? worth a glass coffin moment, or ready for the royal ball?

My Cinderella Ballgown Journey ✨👗

The moment I saw a Cinderella dress, I was instantly enchanted ✨ A few years later, I taught myself how to sew, but it still took a lot of courage to start this magical project. Fast forward to a year ago, I finally finished it! 👗💫

It took over 9 months of hard work, patience, and a sprinkle of fairy-tale magic, but this was just the first of many ballgowns I dream of creating. The giant petticoat is my favorite part, even though it was incredibly difficult to sew. I definitely developed a love-hate relationship with it along the way! It really gives the dress its royal volume, and all the colors, layers, and frills underneath make it truly fit for a princess 👑

I am so happy I went for it! While it may not be perfect, I am beyond proud of my result. This project taught me that magic isn’t just in fairy tales. It’s in the courage to start, the dedication to keep going, and the joy of creating something beautiful from scratch ✂️🪡✨

This dress isn’t just fabric and tulle. It’s my fairy godmother moment come to life. And remember, just like in Cinderella’s story, “Have courage and be kind” 💖

“Even miracles take a little time.” – Cinderella 🕰️✨


Almost half a year ago, I finished this dream-come-true Cinderella ballgown – after 9 months of hard work, stitching, layering, and (let’s be honest) a lot of sparkle-induced chaos 😅👗
It all starts with the OG butt lift: a hoopskirt and a bumpad 💁‍♀️


The skirt? 11 layers in total – 6 just in the petticoat alone!
Each petticoat flounce is colorful and fun and honestly my favorite detail 💙💜💗


And the final layer of the skirt? Covered in 250 rhinestones because a little sparkle never hurt anyone 💎
The bodice is fitted like a dream, topped off with a soft, fluffy bertha – and yes, it has colorful butterflies perched on top 🦋✨

This dress was my dream, and I made it real 💙
