I'm a British sound engineer and sleep audio specialist who creates all the sounds you hear on this channel.
So, I've pretty much spent my whole life exploring, recording and editing unique audio. Be it as a kid on my family's camcorder, or as an adult through my job using professional equipment. These days though, you'll find me taking the simplest things and turning them into captivating and relaxing noise soundscapes!
And that's what this channel is. It's me basically using a range of objects found in the home, trying to extract sounds from them, ASMR-style (pot tapping, straw blowing, carpet scratching). Then, through editing and sound manipulation, I mix these with audio from my MIDI keyboard and raw field recordings (rain, waterfalls, wind) to make videos to help people with sleep, relaxation and studying.
I really hope you enjoy these and that they are able to help. 😴
Sound Asleep ASMR
Hey my lovely sleep friends, 😴
I wanted to quietly mention something I’ve been putting together behind the scenes. I've started a small sleep-focused mailing list for anyone who wants a bit more than what I can share on YouTube.
As a little thank you, I’ve put together a free 12-hour downloadable sleep track from my catalogue for anyone who joins (something you can keep offline for those nights when you're unplugged from the net).
From time to time I’m also hoping to share:
• more free full-length sleep tracks from my catalogue
• interesting sleep tips I come across
• articles on sleep improvement
• any sleep aids or gadgets that seem genuinely helpful
Nothing spammy I promise, just the very occasional sleep-improving email if I find anything of interest.
If all that sounds helpful, please consider joining me here:

And so I can better understand what you’re all dealing with when it comes to sleep…

Happy World Sleep Day everyone! 😴
worldsleepday.org/
It wouldn't feel right if a channel like mine didn't mention this. Today is all about raising awareness of the importance of good sleep and healthy sleep habits. Hopefully other sleep experts and wellbeing communities all over the world are sharing the same simple message: sleep really matters.
So, just a gentle reminder from me, to look after yourself, get the rest you need when you can, and be kind to yourself on the harder nights.
And real big thank you for being part of this little sleep corner of YouTube 💙
So, since it's World Sleep Day.....how is your sleep lately?

Happy World Listening Day to all you lovely folk! 🌍👂 worldlisteningday.org/
Today (apparently) is all about tuning in and really listening to the world around us. Whether it's the gentle patter of rain, ocean waves, or a soft hum in the distance, sound plays a huge role in how we relax, focus and, most importantly, sleep.
So, as a channel dedicated to soothing sleep sounds, I suppose it's only right I bring attention to this wonderful day. I know how much of you struggle to rest properly and I'm always touched to hear how these can videos help! Long may they continue to do so.
It made me think, why not do a little poll. Which sounds do YOU prefer to sleep to?
PS: following my thoughts the other week, I've updated my intro video: https://youtu.be/FoGz7_pFDHM
I'm not sure who can actually see it, as it doesn't seem to appear anywhere (maybe on the home page?) but anyway. It's up and hopefully gives more of a flavour of what happens in the creative process.
Sleep well everyone! 😴❤

Sound Asleep ASMR
Hey friends,
Just a quick question. I'm looking to change my YouTube profile picture and just wanted your thoughts.
I'm sure you've noticed the huge rise in AI channels - voiceovers, video, etc. I suddenly feel the need to include myself more on the channel, almost as a sign of authenticity.
I never really wanted to be present. I just wanted the videos to speak for themselves. But I dunno. Maybe it's to do with audience trust? Or reassurance that I'm a genuine person behind the channel? Anyway, I do feel I should lose the logo and have my silly mug as my profile. I already have it on all my thumbnails, so hopefully wouldn't be too jarring.
Sorry it's not a more exciting poll, and in reality, not a big deal. But I'm driving myself mad umming and ahhing about it and could do with some input.
So should I change it? 😊

It's National Blueberry Day!! blueberry.org/blog/make-every-day-national-blueber…
Blueberries hold a special place in my heart. Not just because they are genuinely a superfruit (eaten pretty much every day in our house), but also because my most popular video happens to be Blueberry Noise. It has a lot of love on here and for that I thank you all.
It was the first real experiment of mine where I tried to make noise on the colour spectrum, using actual fruit. Heavily edited and tweaked, but the result is one of my all time favourite sleep videos - smooth, rich and perfect for sleeping.
Anyway, if you've never used the video, give it a go! I promise you will not regret it and it might just become your new favourite sound!
Sleep well all!

Happy World Chocolate Day everyone! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Chocolate_Day
Who doesn't enjoy a bit of chocolate, right? It's loved all over the world for its rich, comforting taste. And actually, it's shown to help with overall health and sleep. Dark chocolate for example, in moderation, can boost heart health, improve mood through serotonin, and support sleep thanks to its magnesium content!! Who knew?
Anyway, with that in mind, why not give my Dark Chocolate Noise a go tonight to help get you that good night's snooze!
Sleep long and sleep well everyone!

Happy Saturday all!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Today is Pet Remembrance Day: www.daysoftheyear.com/days/pet-remembrance-day/
As someone who has owned and lost pets, I understand how difficult it can be. Not everyone gets it, and that can make the grief even harder. When you lose a pet, people sometimes say things like "it's just an animal" or "get over it," which is both upsetting and infuriating.
True story: in my early twenties, we lost our beloved cat, Peano. We'd had him since I was six, and I was absolutely distraught. But my workplace at the time was completely unsympathetic. They essentially told me to get a grip. I never really forgave them for that, and I learned a lesson - next time, I wouldn't say my cat had died. I'd just say a family member had passed away.
Anyway, sorry to bring the tone down. But tonight I raise a glass to all our absent furry friends! 🍷
Today is also International Cherry Pit Spitting Day (www.daysoftheyear.com/days/international-cherry-pi…) which gives me an excuse to tenuously link one of my sleep videos! So in honour of this unusual day, why don't you all relax to the soothing sounds of Dark Cherry Rain - a cherry red noise accompanied by the gentle spitting and drizzle of rain.
Sleep long and sleep well tonight my friends! 🐈 🐕♥

Happy Independence Day to all my wonderful American friends! ♥
I tried to find a fitting sleep noise associated with Independence Day, but the closest I could get was Stardust (star-spangled banner?).
Anyway, wherever you are in the world, have a lovely day and hope this video helps you sleep well tonight!

It's Synesthesia Awareness Day! synesthesiaawarenessday.com/
If you're not sure what it is, I'll fill you in. It's essentially a neurological condition where stimulation of one sense triggers experiences in another sense, for example, someone might see colours when they hear sounds.
Now, I'm pretty sure I don't have it (although I do associate certain sounds with colours), but I do receive messages from people with it who say they enjoy watching and listening to my videos, as the colours they experience often match my own.
It really is a fascinating condition I'd definitely love to hear more from anyone who has it (and if/how my videos affect that).
Anyway, I wanted to tenuously link one of my videos to link with the day. I suppose I could've picked anyone from my catalogue, but I've gone with Dark Violet Noise (as it's one of my own personal favourite colour noises).
So whether you've synesthesia or not, I hope you get something from this video tonight!
Sleep long and sleep well my friends!
