‘Shards’ by NOUMENIA is out now 🎧 listen on all platforms via ffm.to/noushr - \m/

Produced by the band themselves and meticulously engineered, mixed, and mastered by Daniele Salomone (Lacuna Coil, Inverno, D With Us) at DDStudio Records, this track represents a dramatic level-up for the rising quartet. Built on crushing riffs, solemn rhythms, and raw emotional power, the track delivers the exact wallop fans of Spiritbox, Jinjer, and Gojira crave. The core inspiration behind the track delves deep into the heavy realities of mental health struggles, anxiety, and grief. Vocalist Vivian Black explains that the band crafted a spectral and solemn atmosphere to mirror the overwhelming sensation of drowning within one’s own consciousness. The track captures that exact moment of falling into an endless void, where distress paralyzes the spirit. Lines like “I can’t run, I can’t hide” and “Shards stuck in my throat” embody the silent agony of depression, rendering inner torment into a fierce sonic experience.
