8 years ago I filed my first client's GST return.

Nervous. Double-checked everything three times. I hadn't missed anything.

He just received a WhatsApp message saying it was filed.

Eight years later, that same client still sends me his data every month. Different business now, higher turnover, more complex filings. But the same trust. The same expectation that it will be handled correctly and on time.

I don't take that lightly.

Because I've watched a lot of people start in this field with genuine ability and real ambition and quietly disappear after two or three years.

Not because they weren't talented.

Because consistency is harder than it looks from the outside.

There are months in this work where everything runs smoothly, filings clean, clients happy, portal cooperating. Those months feel like evidence that you built something real.

Then there are the other months.

Three notices arriving the same week. A client who sends data at 11 PM on the deadline day. A portal that times out during peak hours. A new regulation that changes something you'd been doing correctly for two years.

Those months don't make the highlight reel.

But they're the ones that actually build the practice.

Because showing up when it's easy is just participation. Showing up when it's difficult, filing anyway, responding anyway, learning the new rule anyway, that's what eight years actually looks like.

I haven't always had the answers immediately.

I've always found them before the deadline.

That distinction is what I'd offer anyone starting out in this field or building any kind of practice from scratch.

You don't need to know everything on day one.

You need to be the person who doesn't quit when day one becomes day nine hundred.

The clients who've stayed with Vauditors across eight years didn't stay because we were perfect.

They stayed because we were consistent.

Every month. Without exception.

That's the whole story.

That's also the whole strategy.

If you're building something for the long term, follow along.

I share what eight years of consistent work actually looks like. The progress, the hard weeks, and everything the highlight reel leaves out.

Note: Talent gets you started. Consistency keeps clients for eight years. The gap between the two is just showing up on the difficult months as reliably as the easy ones.

Is GST paid on purchase or sale?

Still wondering whether GST is paid on purchase or sale? Most people get this wrong

GST is charged at the time of sale, but businesses also pay GST while purchasing goods or services.
The GST paid on purchases can usually be claimed as Input Tax Credit (ITC)
That’s how businesses reduce their final tax liability.
