i couldn’t decide which song i wanted to release as the next single so i decided to release both 😭

EUPHORIA (big feelings - rock version) and BAD OMEN (bad thing [bunny hop] - rock version) felt like they belonged together & i’ve always thought of them as sister songs. they’re different in their own ways, but i think they complement each other really well, so it felt right to put them out together !

purgatory [ˈpɜːrɡətɔːri]: a place between endings and beginnings, a state of transition where the past is left behind but the future has yet to begin.

after a very long year since my last album, i’m finally back with a new one. i actually made a completely different project before this one, but ended up scrapping it once ariana announced her 8th album. i decided to continue the INSOMNIA tradition & my musical sonic shift with a rock-driven reimagining of ‘petal.’

PURGATORY consists of 12 songs, reworking every track from the original. i really love the idea of taking every song from an album from start to finish and giving it a completely different sound while still keeping the identity & flow of the original body of work intact, and i wanted to revisit that concept again with PURGATORY. there are definitely some different sounds and influences thrown into the mix this time around, but the rock influence is still at the heart of it. i’m really excited for you all to hear this one, and i hope you love it as much as i do. ♡

thank you all so much for 700+ subs, & all the love and support recently too! it’s always been a dream of mine to be recognized for the music i put out, so it means a lot to finally see that happening :) this channel has been my creative outlet since the pandemic, and it’s always been a way for me to express myself in ways i don’t really get to otherwise. i know it’s just fan-music / mashups at the end of the day, but it truly does mean a lot to me. i do this purely for fun and obviously don’t earn any money from it due to copyright, so having my hard work acknowledged beyond the people i already know feels really special. 🥲

after a very long year, POISON IVY (petal - rock version) marks my first rock remix since INSOMNIA (the album) & it feels so good to finally return to this sound again. i’ve missed making music like this more than i can put into words, and i couldn’t think of a better song to bring me back to life :’)
