Merry Christmas, our YouTube family! 🎄
It seems only right that the greeting should come from a child, wrapped in lights and delight, announcing the day without quite knowing how important her announcement really is. Lainey says it with all smiles and shining eyes—but then again, that is how Christmas first arrived.

For this was the day when God did not shout from the sky, but slipped quietly into the world as a baby. The Maker of all things became small enough to be held, warm enough to be loved, and near enough to change everything simply by being here. From that moment on, the darkness found it had met its match.

So if you hear Christmas today spoken softly, joyfully, or even a little clumsily like a toddler might do—pay attention. That is often how the truest things are said. Merry Christmas, and may the Light that came into the world dwell with you always. ✨

I want to take a moment to say sorry to those of you waiting for the next in the series of devotionals. Another one is on the way, but this month has been quite busy, and a stack of videos has built up while I work to get everything caught up. Sometimes, that means devotionals take a little longer to appear than I’d like—but they are coming.

For those who joined the channel mainly for the devotionals, I want to explain something. A big part of this channel is documenting our little one, Lainey—her moments, her growth, and our family life. These precious glimpses are such a meaningful part of why this channel exists. Everything we create here is for God’s glory, and every single clip comes from that heart. So if it feels like there’s a lot of Lainey content and the other content is a no-show, that’s why—and I truly appreciate your understanding.

To be honest, by the end of the night I’m often quite sleepy, and creating a video for the next day can be a little of a stretch—but somehow, I still manage to share four or five videos a week. Many of those are Lainey videos, and I’m steadily working to catch up on everything else—and I know that can be frustrating if you subscribed to the channel for the devotionals. You wouldn’t believe how much recorded content is quietly waiting on my hard drive for me to edit—it’s as if it’s whispering my name.

I also need a break from the screen sometimes—to explore my other hobbies, or just to enjoy watching something on YouTube or a show. Writing is a passion of mine, and I recently dove into a story before pausing to focus on videos. Video games are another joy—they let me wander into new worlds and stories—and I haven’t had much time for that lately. Balancing it all is a challenge, but it’s a labor of love.

With that in mind, I’m planning to set a regular day each month for devotionals, so you can count on at least one each month—and hopefully more whenever possible. And to also get to my other content that honor God and reflect His glory.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and for being part of this journey. Please hang in there with me—more devotionals are coming, and I’m working to share them more consistently. Your encouragement means the world.

I’m not sure how many of you see these posts, but I hope it greets your eyes and gives a little glimpse into what’s happening behind the scenes. I want to thank you for bearing with me and for understanding that, as a YouTuber, life doesn’t stop when the camera turns off. Everything I do—every video, every post—is for God’s glory, and I’m grateful for your patience as I work to balance sharing content with honoring Him in all that I do.

We just got back from a wonderful vacation recently, one that’s going to bring some amazing new videos to the channel! Unfortunately, an outer ear infection decided to tag along. I didn’t let it damper my fun, but it sure did hurt — and I’m still recovering. So please bear with me — new videos are coming soon! When you’re in pain, editing videos isn’t exactly at the top of your mind, but I did manage to put together a short today about Lainey’s birthday breakfast at the hotel, so be sure to check that one out!

I’m still working on editing our vacation videos, but don’t worry—a new devotional is on the way soon! My hope is to begin sharing them on Thursdays (as time allows), so you can look forward to those in the weeks ahead. Sharing God’s Word has always been one of the main callings behind this channel, and I’m prayerfully working to make those devotionals a regular part of what we do here.
