Hello, I’m Ruby! I’m an artist, maker and endlessly curious woman in my 50s, figuring out what a good life looks like for me these days.

I’m exploring a slower, more analogue way of living, finding joy in everyday things, making time for creativity and discovering that life doesn’t have to be terribly exciting to be rather wonderful.
I’m not here to teach you how to live or pretend I’ve got everything figured out. I’m just sharing my days, the things I’m making, the places I’m wandering and whatever happens to be rattling around in my head.

It’s so interesting to me that I’ve had over 100 conversations with women who were/are in the new age spiritual movement, that all feel (and this includes me) that no matter what “work” we did on ourselves, it was never enough, there was always a longing for more, and in many cases feeling like a failure because you hadn’t done enough “work” on yourself, there was always another retreat to go to, some new modality to try, a mentor/guru/shaman etc who had the answers, but after paying them, sometimes thousands of pounds,there was still an empty feeling, a jigsaw piece missing.
And it’s God.
That’s who was missing.
Now after encountering Gods unconditional love, his grace, his light, the Holy Spirit, there is no more “work” needed.
It’s a wonderful feeling to realise you are not broken, you don’t need fixing, you are already loved and enough, just as you are because the creator made you in his perfect image.
What a revelation! What freedom!
