Anddd these are the ones I wrote this year yayay
Oh yeah and originally some of these had italics so if the grammar looks weird and stuff that's why.
Oct 12 (Vampire)
A delicious smell meets my nose. I sniff the air. Blood. And it's not just any blood. I smell human. I inhale deeply. It has been a while since a scent like this has entered my nostrils. What am I doing? This is crazy. I swore off human blood. It has been so very long. My tongue licks my lips of its own accord and I find myself following the smell.
Don't do this. You moved here for a reason. Control yourself. My hands part the leaves in front of me and I find myself in a clearing. In the centre, a young woman is picking daisies and popping them into a basket. I close my eyes and bask in her scent.
At the crunch of a twig, my eyes snap open. She has noticed me and is backing away. I must have a crazed look in my eye. My tummy rumbles. Oh, I am so hungry. I lick my lips again and inch towards the girl. Her eyes widen and she takes off through the dense collection of trees, leaving me to chase after her.
Oct 13 (Video game night)
“Pass to me! Pass to me! Noo, not that way! Aw come on…”
Jason smiled sheepishly. “Sorry, Leo, I tried.”
Nico smirked at Leo. “Who's the king of gaming, now? I literally grew up without video games and I'm still better than you.”
Leo's eyebrows raised in indignation. “Um, hello? You grew up in a literal casino. You did nothing but play video games for like, a hundred years.”
Nico rolled his eyes. “More like 10 years if we're being generous. Video games weren't invented until like the last few hours of my stay.”
Frank smiled. “Is the great son of Hephaestus bad at video games?”
Leo's cheeks flushed a darker colour. “No! You guys have experience playing MythoMagic and stuff. And besides, Frank, you did absolutely nothing. Nico carried you.”
Nico’s eyes narrowed. “No, we put in an equal amount of effort and won the game. Now your team has to worship my team for a week. Just like we agreed.”
Jason nudged Leo. “It’s okay, bro. Just give it up. We don't need to turn this into a fight.”
Leo stood up. “No, Grace. We absolutely do. The son of Hades is being disrespectful.” A small flame ignited in his palm.
Nico’s pale face was flooded with colour and he stood up to face Leo. The ground shook gently beneath his feet.
Frank cleared his throat. “This really doesn't feel necessary.”
Jason sighed. “Come on Frank, I'll buy you a drink. Let's get away from here before Chiron blames this on us.”
Frank hesitated. Should they be running away?
Jason placed a hand on his shoulder. “It's not that big of a deal. If we wait for them to sort it out, we'll be here forever. Let's just go and have the fun we deserve.”
Frank smiled reluctantly. “You're right. Let's go.”
Oct 14 (Karaoke)
“Okay for the next song, we have a duet! Let's see who will have the honour of singing together this round!”
He spun a wheel with their names on it. The wheel slowed to a stop at ‘Piper’.
She stood up tiredly. Her throat was aching from singing all evening but she would give it her best. She forced a smile for the others.
The friends clapped politely. It would be a good song if Piper was singing.
“Next singer!” He spent the wheel again. This time it landed on Percy.
Frank smiled. Percy's name somehow hadn't come up all evening. He was excited at the prospect of hearing Percy sing. That boy managed to be good at everything. Undoubtedly, his singing would be just as stunning as anything else.
Percy stood up shyly. Annabeth put her fingers in her ears and smirked at him. Frank raised an eyebrow.
Piper started the song off. Frank felt every emotion the song was trying to convey. Her singing really was magnificent. The chorus ended and the second verse began. Percy began singing.
He started off quietly enough. It sounded good but it was barely audible.
“Come on, man. You gotta actually sing! We can't even hear you, bro. We won't judge, it's okay!” Leo reasoned.
Frank was a bit sceptical at the ‘won't judge’ part since that's all Leo ever did, but he cheered Percy on too. “Yeah, let's hear your singing, Perce!”
Percy glanced around the room nervously, his eyes at last resting on Annabeth. Her eyes were dancing with humour and her fingers were still in her ears but she motioned for him to sing.
He did sing. He sang his heart out and Frank wished he hadn't. Oh, it was such a horrible sound.
Oct 15 (Threadview)
I enter the room and gasp. The threads run from one wall to another, tangling and untangling themselves. They wrap around screens and flow and connect. I extend my arm to touch one and it floats back from me. There seems to be some sort of force field around the strings. I shift my attention to the screens instead. I recognise myself in every one of them. Each seems to show a different time period. I am wearing different clothes in each. Looking closer, I notice the backdrops. Cities and deserts seem to be the primary landscapes. These must be visions of the future. I walk through the threads, committing each image to my memory, until I reach the last one. It stops me in my tracks and a startled grunt escapes my throat. The screen shows fire. Fire rages in the foreground, in the background, everywhere. Everything is burnt. Everything has been reduced to ashes and it’s all just black and grey. It’s all charcoal. Gods are scattered across the image, our mouths open wide in agony as newer, better creatures triumph over us. I understand what it is. Yet my brain refuses to comprehend. The age of the gods… will end.
Oct 16 (Even gods need a break)
“Sorry kiddo, that’s it for today. I need some time to rest and recover.”
“Aw come on. Please, please, please?” The small son of Hades widens his eyes and looks at me pathetically. I’ve heard that humans do this to look cute.
I sigh. “Okay, but this is the last one.”
He grins and settles into a more comfortable position.
I shut my eyes and try to focus on luring the magic out of my mind and my heart. But all my head will do is pound. The pain is increasing and I’m not sure how much longer I can endure this. My heart feels empty, like it has nothing left to give.
I open my eyes to tell him I can’t do it. He’s looking at me expectantly.
“Why can’t I do it tomorrow, Nico? It’s the same thing, isn’t it?” I ask hesitantly.
Nico averts his eyes. “Mamma says this is our last day here. She says we’re leaving tomorrow”
My heart sinks. Will I not be able to talk to this little gem again? Or will I?
I ruffle the child’s head. “I’m a god, kiddo! I can follow you wherever you go.”
His eyes light up. “Anywhere?”
I kneel at his tombstone and stroke the headstone. “Anywhere.” I whisper.

So this is all I got upto last year. Still haven't started writing this year but I will when I have time. Btw the underscores represent italics.
Oct 9 (Hangout with friends)
Percy lurked under the surface, waiting for Hazel to pass. Then, right when she stopped walking and signalled Leo to pass the ball, he submerged her in a massive wave.
“Percy!” Hazel exclaimed, patting down her curls, “I’ll never be able to tame these if they have salt in them!”
Percy grinned, a little ashamed, “What’s the point of playing in the water if you’re not willing to get submerged?”
Hazel sneered and telepathically dug out the sand beneath him. Percy yelped as he was submerged in the water. _No biggie,_ he thought, _Water’s my element_
But he had underestimated Hazel. She buried him in the sand. “Hey!” Percy yelled. He was startijg to feel claustrophobic. Memories flashed in his head. He had once been submerged in quicksand with Hazel. “Let me out!”
Hazel grinned at her masterpiece, then uncovered him so he could breathe. She had only submerged him for a second or two before setting him free, so it was worrying when he did’t emerge again.
Percy could breathe underwater, so Hazel wasn’t _too_ concerned. But she didn’t know if he could breathe while unconscious.
Percy emerged from the water, gasping. “Hazel!”
Her eyes widened. “I’m sorry!”
Percy took a moment to catch his breath. “Don’t- don’t worry about it.”
Oct 10 (The judges)
Leah frowned at Minos. “My brother’s told me all about you.”
Minos smirked, “A daughter of Hades? This will be interesting.”
Leah snarled. “Why would it?”
Minos rolled his eyes. “You have died before, correct? And your father has brought you back to life. This time too, we have orders.”
She scowled at him. “Then why am I here?”
Minos smirked. “It’s not time for you to return to the land of the living just yet. So for the moment, entertain us.”
A man behind Leah groaned. “Is the line not moving slowly enough as it is? Hurry up. I wanna get to my afterlife.”
“Silence!” proclaimed another judge.
Leah sighed and turned around. “Would you like to take my spot?”
Before he could reply, a third judge proclaimed that he hadn’t done anything special and deserved the Fields of Asphodel.
“Really?” The man huffed. “I stood in the judging line for _this_?” He shook his head and walked away, muttering under his breath.
Oct 11 (Souls)
Asher gasped as the air around him paled and turned misty. Whispers sounded in his ears and the hairs on the back of his neck pricked up.
“What is going on?”
Leah smirked. “This is my home.”
A wisp flew past Leah's eyes. Asher gasped as the covered part of her face turned skeletal. The mist seemed to be working like an x-ray.
A hand solidified out of another wisp, grabbing his arm. He tried to free himself to no avail. One of the many whispers stood out to him. “Kill Leah.”
She was still smiling and running her hand through the mist. She seemed genuinely pleased to be here. Asher gulped.
“Don’t you think it's time we go home?”
Leah's eyes widened, the way they always did whenever anyone said anything even mildly surprising. “We didn't even get what we came here for.”
Asher sighed and trudged after Leah as she started walking towards the centre of the field. The mist grew thicker with cramped souls packed densely together.
“I thought the Fields were endless?”
“They are.”
“How come this area is so crowded?” Asher spit out a soul.
“The central is popular. You'll see why.”
“I don't get it. This is your first time in the underworld, correct? You found out you were a demigod the same day I did. A month ago. How come you know so much about this world?”
A tear ran down Leah's face. She quickly wiped it with her sleeve and tried to blink away the coming tears. “My brother used to tell me stories of the Underworld. I didn't think much of them, but he promised I'd use it someday. I acted like I didn't care, but he was a good storyteller. I listened.”
“Did you- come here to look for your brother?”
“No, silly, I came here for the same reason you did. To look for Jason.”
“That doesn't explain why we're trudging through these useless souls in the Field of Asphodel.”
She hid her face from him as tears streaked through the dust on her face. Her shoulders shook slightly and her voice was breaking when she answered, “Yes, I'm hoping to find my brother. Percy told me he wouldn't remember me, but I want to find him. And just so you know, he was _not_ useless.”

I swear I posted this like 4 days ago but YT's tweaking so let's post it again
These are all still from last year
Oct 5 (Titanomachy)
“Are we ready for this?”
“Let’s do it.”
“Yeah!”
“We’ll go down in history as geniuses.”
“There’s nothing genius about your plan.”
“You’re just mad _you_ couldn’t come up with it.”
“Whatever.”
Together, as a team, as a family, they attacked.
Zeus leapt into the air accompanied by lightning strikes. He was the only one with training and therefore the most powerful. He landed on his father’s shoulder and numbed the body.
Poseidon used all his might to summon the oceans and shaped them into weapons. He solidified the water and attacked his father the traditional way.
Hades cracked the ground and summoned the dead to help him. He caused a massive earthquake and rooted his father to the ground.
Hera shapeshifted into a cow and barged into her father over and over again until she hurt him.
Demeter rapidly grew vines to wrap around her father and build a cage.
Hestia, the most peaceful of them all, magnified the fire of the hearth and burned her father.
For the final blow, it was Zeus’s turn again. Now that his father was contained, he was free to grab his old man’s scythe and chop him up into pieces. Thus began the age of the gods.
Oct 6 (Board games)
Leo picked up the parcel on the doorstep.
“Piper!” He called out, “Did you order anything?”
“Nope!” came the reply. “Why?”
He ran his nimble fingers over the plastic packaging, then yelled out, “Why do you think?”
Jason stepped out of the bathroom wearing a towel. His wet, blond hair stuck up and he smiled sheepishly. “I ordered that.”
“Ew, put on your glasses,” Leo told him.
“Leo!” Piper protested.
“Okay, okay. Keep your hats on. I’ll place this on the table in the living room and Jason can open it as soon as he’s ready.”
Jason unwrapped the plastic packaging very carefully to unravel…a box.
“Wavelength?” inquired Leo, reading the text on the box, “What does _that_ mean?”
Piper rolled her eyes, “You are quite stupid for a prodigy, aren’t you?”
_Maths prodigy, not English,_ he muttered under his breath, scowling. Out loud he said, “Of course I know what the word means, it’s just that I’ve never heard of the game before.”
Before Piper could respond that there were a lot of things Leo hadn’t heard of,Jason interrupted. “We’ll find out, won’t we?”
“There is no way you ordered a game without knowing what it is.” Piper and Leo said simultaneously.
Jason grinned, “Of course I know what this is. It’s a game!”
Oct 7 (Fantasy)
Riven knelt to the ground and picked up the flyer. “Unicorn show,” he read out loud. “At the City Circus, 9 pm to 11 pm.”
No problem! It would already be Riven’s bedtime by then and super easy to sneak out. He neatly folded up the flyer and tucked it into his chest pocket. He didn’t want to sneak out of the house. He’d never done it before. It sounded scary and difficult. But he had made up his mind. He _had_ to see the unicorn show. Maybe there really _was_ someone out there like him.
*
He hung his head low, walking in the shadow of his mother. Although Riven was a bit taller than his mother, today, she seemed to tower over him. She had latched onto his wrist like a cold iron cuff and was leading him down the street. Riven knew he deserved whatever his punishment was going to be, but he couldn’t help but feel a little scared. In the moonlight, his mother looked almost.. _dangerous_.
He had fallen for a scam. He’d risked nearly his life to go see the show. To go discover other people like him. To prove his mother wrong. But he should have known better. He should have listened to her.
That’s when he noticed it. A pair of eyes in the bushes on the other side of the road. He stumbled to a stop. His mother forcefully tugged on his sleeve, but he remained put. The eyes he saw glowed gold. Just like his did when he used his powers.
Oct 8 (Horror movie night)
His exposed shoulder seemed to rapidly gather sweat. The killer sliced a man’s belly open and out squirted blood. Frank shivered. The hairs on the back of his neck creeped up as the killer looked straight at him and whispered: “You’re next.”
Hazel flicked the light switch on. “Scared?” She taunted.
“Wha- No, not at all.”
Hazel smirked. “I’m sure you won’t mind helping me clean out the cobwebs in our basement, then?” She asked.
A wave of unexpected unease crept over Frank. Something seemed to be wrong. Usually, he was never scared around Hazel. She was a strong warrior, and could bash earth and diamonds in the face of any threat. Frank could shapeshift. They were also both praetors, meaning they had an entire legion under their command. So, Frank wasn’t supposed to be scared at all. Was this irrational? Or some danger his sixth sense seemed to be picking up?
His life used to depend on a twig. He used to be terrified of fire. The twig was gone but the fear remained. So, naturally, Frank flinched when he saw the wooden torches in the basement, enlightening the room.
“What’s up with the unusual lighting?” He asked Hazel, careful to keep his voice steady.
“I dunno,” Hazel replied, handing Frank a duster. “The power in the basement randomly went out.”
“Just the basement, huh?”
“Yep!” Hazel replied, grinning cheerfully. A dark shape began to emerge behind her. The shadow engulfed her and bathed her face in darkness.
Frank didn’t hesitate to transform into a bear and leap over Hazel's shoulder. She yelped and spun around just in time to see Frank crashing to the floor, having pounced on nothing but darkness. Nico emerged from a corner, flashing Frank one of his rare smiles.
His face started warming. He had been made a fool of. It was the quest with gaia all over again. He was being humiliated for entertainment. He was about to say some not-so-nice words when he noticed the fire spreading from another corner.
Instantly, it was so much harder to breathe. His chest heaved up and down as his world spun around him. The flames raced towards him, engulfing everything in its way. It burned its way through all the old books, using the dry pages as kindling. He jumped in front of the siblings and shifted into a salamander. They were known for being fireproof. He scuttled through the fire to try and find a source and a solution.
Pretty soon, he was picked up by greasy, stained fingers. His little legs wandered around in midair and he was lifted higher and higher. Right into the face of Leo Valdez.

I didn't finish Styxtober last year so lwk gonna try to do the rest this year.. And I'll post them on here bc why not
So these ones are from last year btw:
Oct 1 (Outfit Swap)
“I am not doing this,” Nico grumbled.
Will was busy wrapping an ambrosia square for a camper but he replied, “Oh, yes you are.”
Nico rolled his eyes. “Since you’re busy, can I go first?”
Will smirked, “A bit eager, perhaps?”
“I just want to get it over and done with.”
“Nuh uh,” Will told him. “We are showing everyone in the camp after we do the outfit swap and charging them for pictures.”
“Why are we even doing this? Our outfits aren’t that different.”
“Then why are you dreading it? I know you’d look awesome in my clothes. After all, the clothes you were wearing when I met you weren’t too different.”
“Ladies, Gentlemen, and those in between! I present to you: The mighty outfit swap!”
A demeter girl giggled and pulled her phone out to take a picture.
“Nuh uh! You have to pay to take pictures!” Will told her. To Nico’s surprise, she actually handed him a drachma before taking a picture and walking away.
Nico was wearing a bright orange camp tee with a green flannel over that. Underneath, he wore shorts. He seemed to be shivering, although it was mid-summer.
Will, on the other hand, was wearing a black leather aviator's jacket with black, ripped, skinny jeans. He even wielded his boyfriend’s famous stygian iron sword. His face seemed a bit red and sweaty since it was way more layers than he was used to, but he managed to remain cheery.
Oct 2 (Family Meeting)
Apollo reached for the jug of nectar again. “Dad!” Will whispered. His father rolled his eyes and sat back in his chair.
Meanwhile, Nico kept trying to persuade Hades to talk to Will.
“Come on, Dad! I love him!”
“Nope! Boys only break your heart! Remember that Percy Jackson?”
“He didn’t break my heart.”
“He didn’t- Of course he did! He killed your sister.”
“It’s not always _about_ my sister. And he _didn’t_ kill her. So, would you _please_ take a chance with Will?” His eyes were tearing up and he looked away from Will to wipe them with his sleeve.
Will reached under the table to grab ahold of Nico’s hand. Nico gripped on like it was his lifeline.
Hades cleared his throat. “So, Will, my grand-nephew. How’s it going?”
Apollo rolled his eyes. “Don’t act like you didn’t marry your niece.”
“Gods don’t have DNA!”
“You’re proving your point! This is a lovely, happy couple, uncle. Just leave them be.”
Hades took a deep breath and tried not to explode. “You do not tell me what to do in my own palace!”
“Would you rather we have this talk up on Olympus? It’s _way_ more pleasant up there.”
Hades glared at him, then at his own son. “You’re in love with this idiot’s son?”
“His son’s way better than him.”
Apollo clutched a hand to his chest and the other to his forehead. Will sat beside him, blushing and trying to sink into the ground. “Well, you are right.” The god told Nico, “My wonderful son is a lot more amazing and lovely than I could ever be!”
Will found himself wishing he had worn clothes like Nico’s so he had something to hide behind.
Oct 3 (Cerberus)
Will woke to the sun glaring in his eyes. He grumbled and got up to close the curtains for Nico. His boyfriend liked to sleep till late morning. Will yawned and stretched. He made his way to the door to collect the mail.
He made himself a cup of coffee, then walked up to the door. He was about to take another sip of fresh caffeine when he noticed something was wrong. There seemed to be heavy panting coming from the other side of the door. Frowning, Will glanced through the eyehole only to find empty darkness. Someone must have covered it up as a prank.
Sighing, Will opened the door. He was moderately surprised when he found a large creature sitting on the mail. This creature seemed quite similar to Nico’s friendly hellhound friend, except this one had 3 heads.
Oct 4 (Date)
Percy tapped his foot on the floor repeatedly and readjusted his tie again. He nervously checked his watch. His date was already three minutes late and he was on the verge of panic. Annabeth was never late. She always made it to everywhere on time. Sure, Annabeth had ADHD too, but she was meticulous and a bit of a perfectionist.
Percy was about to resort to giving her a call despite the risk of monsters when the restaurant bell rang. He looked up just in time to see a beautiful girl enter the restaurant. Her curly blonde hair fell neatly over her shoulders and her intelligent gray eyes scanned the room for a certain table.
Percy grinned and waved to her. She smiled and started walking to him.
“You’re late.” He informed her.
“I know.” She sighed.
That’s when Percy noticed certain scars on Annabeth’s face and arms that seemed to be healing rapidly. In a minute, they had disappeared entirely.
“Were you attacked on the way here?” He asked, with a noticeable amount of concern in his voice.
“Nah. I attacked on the way here.”
