Ok - an email sparked me so hold on. I'm going to give a little history lesson and also share something about me. This is stemming from an email about "Why are you obsessed over Halloween?"
HISTORY - (in a nutshell) Halloween actually stems all the way back to a Celtic celebration called Samhain. It was believed the lines between the world of the living and the dead blurred on this night. Christian influence it became known as All Hallow's Even (same concept) Then you bring it to America and it turned into trick or treating and pumpkins. Is this a kis only holiday? NO.
ME: I love all things supernatural so the fascination of lines between worlds blurring is up my alley. I also love all Horror movies: goofy, total screamers, gore ... all of it. I'm here for it. (maybe TMI)
I LOVE creating for Halloween because for one, it brings back lots of fun memories of trick or treating which I think kids now-a-days are kind of shorted on with so many new threats out there.
It gives me a chance to get spooky and just dive into all sorts of dark and eery color combinations. Looks that you won't see with rainbow streamers.
Not everything has to be rainbows and flowers. You discover new techniques when you let a (should I say) darker side of you out.
And not every Halloween card has to be spooky.
So, this is me. I will not pretend to be anyone else nor will I hide my passions and interests. You either like me or don't and I'm ok with that.
I think even if you are not into Halloween or Halloween cards, there are lots of techniques to be learned from each and every video and you could be missing out (not just me but other creators out there)
So with that - I will now step off my soap box. Thank you to everyone that follows me for who I am
