What is Learning Curve all about?
The Universe is an amazing place, and the goal of this channel is to uncover some of its secrets.
I have been a science teacher for over 20 years, and I'm constantly amazed by the world and the universe around me. Having an inquisitive mind has set me on a mission to explore as many of the fantastic things I find as possible, and explain them to you.
So if you have an inquisitive mind too, then make sure to subscribe and check back to find out what I've learned each week. As I always say, curiousness makes us human.
Learning Curve
Weekend Thoughts:
I've been posting these little Weekend Thoughts for Learning Curve members over the past few weeks, but I thought it might be fun to open some of them up to everyone.
I'll still be sharing more personal, behind-the-scenes stuff with members, but these science questions seem too interesting not to throw open to the whole community.
So here's one for you.
If you could travel anywhere and any when in the Universe, completely safely, where and when would you go?
You could visit the surface of a neutron star, watch a supernova from close up, explore another galaxy, or perhaps travel all the way to the edge of the observable Universe.
There's no danger, no travel time to worry about, and you can come home whenever you like.
Personally, this is a difficult one. I think I'd like to see what the Universe looked like when the very first stars were forming, but I’d also love to see the collision that produced the Moon. Ooh choices, choices.
But what about you? Where would you go, and what would you most like to see?
I'm looking forward to reading your answers!

Learning Curve
100,000 subscribers. Wow, that is quite a sentence to type! I hardly know what to say.
Learning Curve is built around questions. Sometimes they’re questions we’ve all wondered about (why isn’t Pluto a planet anymore, my first ever video), and sometimes they’re ones we didn’t even realise were questions at all (what on Earth is a Magnetar)
Knowing that so many of you want to explore those questions with me means a great deal.
Whether you’ve been here for years or have only just found the channel, thank you for watching, commenting, asking questions and sharing your knowledge. I learn plenty from you too.
I’d love to know: which video brought you to Learning Curve? And has anything you’ve learned here particularly stayed with you?
There are plenty more questions to come. Thank you for being part of this.
