ArshaBodha - Swami Tadatmananda

Namaste everyone! Many people have asked if we offer residential programs at our ashram in New Jersey. Now that I'm feeling better, it's a good time to consider the possibility. Please help by responding below - realistically, not hopefully. Thanks.

Namaste everyone! Many years ago, I produced and published two CD's – a compilation of devotional songs called "Lotus Petals" and two guided meditations on Narayana. Since CD players are rapidly growing obsolete, all of these have been published on YouTube to make them freely available.

1. Kaivalya Ashtakam https://youtu.be/BBP719d0cF0
2 Bhavani Ashtakam https://youtu.be/Kdicfh1XQE0

Namaste everyone!
More than fifteen years ago, I wrote a book on "Meditation - A Journey of Discovery based on the Teachings of Vedanta, Bhagavad Gita & Yoga Sutras."

The book was published in the US and India, and it later became the basis for my "Course in Meditation" videos published online.

The book is now out of print here in the US, though it is still available for purchase in India (on amazon.in).

Instead of reprinting the book, we are making it available as a PDF that you can freely download from our website and read:

A Kindle version remains available on amazon.com for a nominal charge.

(registration closed)
Namaste everyone, more than 1500 of you have already registered for our Online Course in Advaita Vedanta, Meditation, and Sanskrit - that's many more than we expected. The course will begin next week, on April 15. If you want to join the course, please register before registration closes on April 14: registration.arshabodha.org/

The course will begin with a six-month introductory session that's open to everyone. That session will be followed by an advanced two-year course for qualified students. No fees will be charged for any of this, but a firm commitment to study for at least one hour a day will be required.

Each week, I'll send you an assignment based on carefully selected teachings, both from our Arsha Bodha Center website and also from my YouTube channel. I'll answer all your questions online in a weekly video session. Other details and instructions for registration are available on our website here: arshabodha.org/programs/online-course/

Going forward, we'll use feedback from students in the six-month course to fine-tune the design of the two-year course that follows. Later, towards the end of the two-year course, we will discuss the next steps for those of you who want to become properly prepared to teach Advaita Vedanta and meditation to others. Those steps will probably include spending some time with me here at our New Jersey ashram.

I'm really looking forward to the course. I hope you can join us. I'll do my best to make it a profound and fulfilling experience for you.

ArshaBodha - Swami Tadatmananda

Namaste everyone. For a long time now, I've thought about offering an online course, a course in Advaita Vedanta, Meditation, and Sanskrit. Many of you responded positively to a poll about this that I posted here on YouTube a few months ago. Since that time, a lot of effort has gone into refining the structure and content of the course to make it really effective and engaging. Now, I think it's finally ready to be launched.

The course will begin on April 15 with a six-month introductory session that's open to everyone. That session will be followed by an advanced two-year course for qualified students. No fees will be charged for any of this, but a firm commitment to study for at least one hour a day will be required.

Namaste everyone! I'm delighted to announce that my book, Roar of the Ganges, is available in India again after being out-of-print for a long time. Indian customers can buy it here: garudalife.in/roar-of-the-ganges. International customers can buy it here: garudalife.com/roar-of-the-ganges. And US customers can still buy it from Amazon.com or from our ashram.

[blurb] A fascinating story of the transformation of a young, successful American computer engineer into a Hindu sannyasi and teacher of Vedanta. This book gives a real flavor of ashram life in the Himalayas along with interesting character sketches of seekers and sadhus. Skillfully woven into this tale are some of the most important teachings of Vedanta. The clarity of the author’s vision and his personal writing style easily lead to penetrating insights into a subject usually considered mysterious and inaccessible. This book is a valuable introduction to Vedanta in a contemporary manner, without compromising on its traditional contents.

Namaste everyone and Happy New Year to you!

I'm delighted to announce that our weekly Q/A Satsang will resume on Sunday, Jan. 4 at 11 am ET. If you miss the live stream, you can catch the recording. Please send your questions to me at SwamiT@ArshaBodha.org with the subject, "Satsang Question".

Also, I will begin teaching Ashtavakra Gita next week. Short classes will be uploaded here as often as possible, health permitting.

Finally, I have asked my assistant, Vasanthi-ji to teach "Prashnottara Ratnamalika," a question/answer style text often attributed to Shankaracharya. Her classes will be live on Saturday mornings at 10 am ET and uploaded here each week.

Namaste everyone! In response to requests, I'm considering the possibility of launching an "Intensive Online Course in Advaita Vedanta, Meditation & Sanskrit" after my health issues are resolved. The course will begin with a 6-month session that's open to everyone, followed by a 1-year teacher training program for qualified students. No fees will be charged but a firm commitment of 2 hours a day will be required.

Each week, carefully selected teachings from our website and YouTube channel will be assigned, and then we'll meet online to answer your questions. My assistant, Vasanthiji, will teach you Sanskrit and offer personal guidance. You will be able to interact with fellow students in an online forum.

Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks.

ArshaBodha - Swami Tadatmananda

Namaste everyone! More than 20 years ago, I set some of my favorite poems of Rabindranath Tagore to music and produced a CD. Many people loved the album, but no one listens to CDs anymore, so I am producing a series of videos that present his amazing mystical poetry, both in English and Bengali, illustrated with artwork painted by Tagore himself.

His poetry does exactly what Vedanta does - it reaches beyond the limits of words and ideas - yato vaco nivartante aprapta manasa saha (Taittiriya Upanishad). The first poem was just published on this channel and the others will follow in the coming weeks. Hope you enjoy them!

Namaste everyone! Sorry to cancel satsang so often. To address this problem, the sessions will simply be posted every Sunday at 11 am, instead of being conducted live. That will give me the flexibility needed right now. Of course, you can continue to send me your questions by email. Be sure to write "Satsang Question" in the subject line.
