Safe TDS Ranges

Under 50 ppm: Too pure; water may taste flat and lack healthy minerals.

50–300 ppm: The optimal and ideal range for a crisp, clean taste and balanced mineral content.

300–500 ppm:

Acceptable to consume, though the water may start to taste slightly heavy or salty.

Above 500 ppm: Not recommended for regular drinking; water can cause scaling in pipes, taste harsh, or contain excessive salts and contaminants.

Above 1,000 ppm: Considered unsafe for human consumption without specialized treatment.
