Rahul Varia is a Mumbai-based artist known for creating elaborate, eco-friendly miniature displays primarily for the Ganpati festival. An applied arts graduate working in advertising, he has gained recognition for his detailed recreations of Mumbai’s iconic public infrastructure using materials like newspaper, sunboard, and paper straws.

Notable Miniature Works
Since 2012, Varia has developed several highly detailed scale models that serve as backdrops for Ganesha idols:
Mumbai Metro (2023): A tribute to the city's public transport, featuring a miniature metro rail coach where the "Bappa" idol is seated. BEST Double-Decker Bus: A scale model of the legendary Mumbai bus system. Mumbai Local Trains (2021): A display based on the lifeline of the city, complete with station-inspired details like the Ghatkopar station. Cultural Landmarks: Recreations of iconic spots such as Thane's Ayyappa temple and the historic Dagdi Chawl.
