Got this today on vinyl... definitely recommended, even if you already have a bootleg, as the mix is really great, and it brings out the best in the performance. Have they used some technology to tune the bass I wonder? It's not as obviously out of tune on Hear My Train A Coming as I remember it. The only downside is that Foxey Lady isn't included... but maybe they'll release that on another album with all the soundcheck recordings too 😁

Upgraded my '77 Fender Twin Reverb with a Jensen C12K and a back panel to make it semi-closed back! The back panel makes the amp more percussive sounding and makes the upper-mids more prominent. The C12K is more sensitive and dynamic compared to the previous speaker I was using (which was a good speaker already).
Speakers in the amp are now the C12K and the Warehouse ET-65.
With these two mods I seem to be able to get more of a Texas tone as well as an even more Jimi-esque tone (remember Jimi's speaker cabs were closed back). I haven't been able to crank the volume yet, but as soon as the lockdown is over I will go to the studio and do some more videos with it... see you soon. Peace :)

NEW VIDEOS coming very soon!!!! A big thank you to all my subscribers for waiting so patiently for new videos since I've been away. A lot of you have been wondering what's happened to me. Well, basically, three years ago I moved to a new house which is quite small so I can't really record there, so I decided to take a break from music and learn to drive so that I could go to a studio to record my YouTube videos (and play as loud as I want!). I have now finally got a car and have booked a studio for 16th October to record new videos, which I will start uploading as soon as they're edited. I hope you enjoy them... Peace!
