CSS Delay Helper v2.5 is out 🎉

This one is about timing and stability, and a lot of it comes straight from your reports here and by email. Thank you 🙏

🎹 Live mode – press the Live button, the L key or a MIDI key and compensation switches off for the slot you're playing in, while everything else keeps playing back in sync. Play the part in, switch back, listen. No more toggling settings before every take.
⏱️ Timings measured on CSS 1.7.1 – fast legato is 170 ms (not 100), long notes without a transition got their own "Longs" delay, and Low Latency legato follows the real velocity zones. Solo Strings users get a Solo Str. preset.
🛠️ Fixes – the first note after a mid-song start keeps the right articulation, no hanging notes on loops or locates, saving during playback doesn't cut notes, a Logic freeze is gone, and the legato switch no longer steals the last short note in fast runs.

Existing projects open exactly as saved, so click the Strings preset once to get the new timings.

"Steal These Orchestral Combos" got a warmer reception than I expected — and a surprising number of you wrote asking for the follow-up videos.

So the series continues. Tomorrow's video takes one 5-bar cue, breaks the balance on purpose, and fixes it in six doublings using three moves: how many players, CC1, and where they sit in the room.

Every note stays the same. Only the arithmetic changes.

Tomorrow, (probably) 5 PM CEST. 🎼

CSS Delay Helper v1.2 is now available. 😊🔥



This update focuses on workflow improvements, better diagnostics, and more flexible Kontakt routing.



What’s new in v1.2:



-Added Kontakt multi-output support with up to four stereo outputs: St.1-St.4

-All presets now use one consistent recommended DAW track delay: -330 ms
-Added a Mini MIDI Monitor showing current mode, legato status, last keyswitch, CC value, active delay and compensation status
-Added hover tooltips across the interface
-Added a global Tips switch, so tooltips can be disabled if you prefer a cleaner UI
-Added Keyswitch Learn: right-click a keyswitch control, choose Learn keyswitch, then press a MIDI key to assign it automatically
-Updated version metadata and UI label to v1.2
-Updated the user manual with v1.2 features and workflow notes


The multi-output feature is mainly for users who want to mix CSS microphone positions separately while still using CSS Delay Helper as the Kontakt host.
