Out Now: Farayi - "May A Love Like This Find Me (ft. Sister Sadie)"

"May a Love Like This Find Me," marks Farayi's first collaboration with acclaimed bluegrass sextet Sister Sadie. Band members Dani Flowers and Deanie Richardson co-wrote the track with Farayi and both appear on the recording alongside their bandmates.

“When I thought of the concept for this song, I initially thought about how daunting and demoralizing it can feel to try and fail at finding that true, romantic love," says Farayi, "but once Deanie, Dani, and I got in the room together, it became apparent that the song was more about gratitude.” “We chose to explore how love manifests within our ordinary lives in ways that are simple, yet so profound, and in relationships that can easily be taken for granted. Sometimes we already have the profound love we’re seeking.”

“Writing this one with Farayi was one of my favorite days in a room in a long time,” notes Dani Flowers. “The idea underneath it is that being well loved is usually pretty unremarkable. It doesn't announce itself, but it's everything. That's a harder thing to write than heartbreak, because there's no drama in it. But we kept chasing it until it felt true. There's a lot of real life in this song.”

New Single: Sister Sadie - "Marlboros in Muskogee"

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be a member of the progressive bluegrass band Sister Sadie, look no further than the group’s new single, “Marlboros in Muskogee, "a vivid (and true) chronicle of an epic bout of touring from their hometown of Nashville under a super blood moon—and then driving 30 hours straight back home to Tennessee after the triumphant run.

“We drove all of this in a van, pulling a trailer,” notes fiddle player and co-founder Deanie Richardson, who co-wrote the song with her bandmate, guitarist/vocalist Dani Flowers, and decorated Nashville songwriters Jon Randall Stewart and Jessi Alexander. “Coming up to this trip, we were all kind of dreading it, because it was going to be so much riding and driving. And from the minute we left home, everything about this trip was magical.”
