The Code Crown

Hey folks, Meg here!

I am so sorry but I need to defer my 2nd Next Order stream until tomorrow!

We'll get back into the plot and see if we can get further into Rosemon's Palace!

The Code Crown

Hey everyone!

Hope you're looking forward to the weekend.
Meg and I are about to record for Digimon Beatbreak English Dub 29-30, and we've been talking about changing the prices or structure of YouTube channel memberships.

There is nothing we can do regarding Twitch, but members there get the benefits of ad-free viewing - I'll come back to this.

Currently there are 2 tiers, Supporter (99c) and Digidestined (€2.99) or local equivalent.

Supporter is just that, for €0.99 you get the emotes and member first content, as well as the Digimon Beatbreak English Dub viewings, as well as our thanks for supporting us.

Digidestined, for €2.99 gets you all of the above, BTS posts, upcoming art previews, and until recently, a separate non-Digimon podcast where Meg and I just talk about ourselves, work, life, health, politics, movies, games, and whatever else comes to mind.
We are aware that we haven't recorded one of these in a minute, but we're looking for an alternative that we feel is worthwhile as thanks for your dedicated support.

When we promote these live, there doesn't really appear to be much interest from the chat, so we want to ask what you would like to see?

Meg and I would like to say that we appreciate everyone who sticks around to the end of every live stream or card game video, or what have you.
We are so grateful for our community, so thank you for being a part of it.

If you want to help The Code Crown continue to grow, one of the easiest things to do is hit like on the videos, share them with friends, and ring the notification bell (does that thing actually work?).

We completely understand that times are tough, and that not everyone is able to support financially.
Regardless of your situation, we really do appreciate every like, share, sub, chat, and comment sent our way. The "Mailmon Delivery" segment on the live show is one of my favourite parts because of the community it fosters.

The free content we provide will still continue
● New anime watch-alongs
● Upcoming manga readthroughs
● Live news reactions (Digimon Con, Expo, Caravan, etc)
● Gameplay (Hacker's Memory, Appmon, Next Order, Time Stranger DLC, and plans beyond those - Re:Digitize, anyone?)

But we would like to be able to expand outside of these, and if YouTube is more than just a hobby for us, this cannot happen without your support.

One idea we had is consolidating the Supporter and Digidestined tiers into one tier at €1.99 and having that be the only tier.

Then, as the channel grows we can expand to tiers that include things like content that is directly sponsored by the community.
● List/tier videos
● "How AJ Would Have Written"
● "Would Meg Survive This Episode?"

Digimon Adventure '99 or Ghost Game dub reviews for Members Only, or drafts and videos that don't get published normally.

With enough members, we could even disable ads on live streams to give some element of parity between YouTube and Twitch streams.

But we need your input to make any of this worthwhile or sustainable, as there is no point in us picking things to do that we think you'll love only to be met by crickets. Which has already happened a few times.

*So we want to know what YOU would like to see, and what YOU feel would be worth giving that little extra bit of support for €1.99 a month.*

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and we hope to see you in the next video.

As an update to our rules:

● Please be mindful that heavy topics and bad news (personal losses, trauma, ongoing world events) can disrupt the vibe of the chat, and be especially upsetting for those who might also be struggling.

● For the mental wellbeing of others, this is not the place for these kinds of posts. Reach out to a friend if you can.

● While Meg and I are sympathetic to our community's potential daily struggles, our forums of discussion should not be used as a replacement for the help that qualified professionals can give.

● At the end of the day, we are all just geeks and nerds here to discuss Digimon in its myriad forms: anime, manga, games etc. We all want to keep the vibe and banter light-hearted. This is not a forum for trauma dumping. Please help keep this a safe, caring, and positive space that everyone can escape to.

Posts/comments that do not adhere to the above will be removed by moderators without warning.
