I had an hour-long conversation with Detective Branch from the Arlington Police Department yesterday. He called about a case we did back in June. I genuinely thought he was calling to help arrest this guy… boy, was I wrong.

He asked, “What undercover officer did you use during this investigation?” I told him we aren’t law enforcement.

He then went on a 20-minute rant, telling me that because of his “ICAC standards,” he couldn’t prosecute the case. When I tried to interrupt and explain that I have four convictions in his county, he told me to “shut up,” stop acting like a teenager, and listen to a “man in authority.” I had to sit there and listen to this old guy rant on and on.

Finally, I was able to speak and told him that we have four convictions in his county — not arrests, convictions. He asked, “What, they got probation?” I said, “No. One got 10 years, and another got prison time.”

He said he wouldn’t charge the suspect we caught with online solicitation because he could get “fired from ICAC.” I have the full recording, and I’m going to release a video on it.

Had the cases we previously worked in his county come across his desk, those men might have gone free. How do I know? We caught a guy back in February of last year, and Detective Branch responded to the scene. He said, “I’m not going to use any of your evidence, and I’m going to start my own investigation.” Luckily, that suspect had CSAM, but if he hadn’t, he might have walked free.

He told me point-blank that the guy we caught in June had enough PC (probable cause), but he still wouldn’t pursue an online solicitation charge.

He spent 20 minutes explaining how groups like ours make it harder for law enforcement to catch predators. I disagree. When groups provide information and cases are not pursued, that decision belongs to law enforcement and prosecutors.

As I’ve said, we have had four convictions in this county, but we’ve been told that cases from civilian groups are no longer being accepted in the same way. I hope there can be constructive conversations about how citizens and law enforcement can work together to protect children and hold offenders accountable.

We just caught a Pred in Victoria, TX the guy admitted talking to our 12 Y/o decoy and sending nudes of himself to her. And even admitted having 100’s of CSAM videos and showing her a video of a 2 Y/o being horribly abused… and they only take his phone and let him leave so they can get more investigating 😂😂 and people wanna blame our groups. They want it to go to grand jury instead of just arresting him this is ridiculous.
