My first time breaking 1M views on something and it's not one, but two FaceBook reels! Not that it matters much, but it's still fun to see all the same comments over and over. I guess this is what people call a viral moment. All the metrics show engagement, but the only thing I see is more uneducated comments...

This week I have a very cool video for you guys. The difference between home, car and earphones. In this video I am explaining "back to basics" style how we hear and why these environments sound different. As always, early access to my patreons.

Probably you have seen these all over. Anyone wants me to get a pair and measure them? I did measure a couple different AMTs from AliExpress and from Dayton Audio in the tweeter shootout, but these are a bit different.

Something different. My first review of desktop monitor speakers. Not car audio, not raw drivers, but still. I take them apart, measure each driver individually and test the built in amplifier. By the way, these speakers with a 3in driver play down to ... 50Hz 😳

Hello lovely people 😊

I realised that I shared the 12V clean wire post, but did not actually share the pictures on my page. So this is my amp rack. In this post I would like to go through the controversy, address some criticisms and explain my thought process.

First of all - what was the purpose of this amp rack? Surprise surprise it was NOT to create a storm online. I really did not expect that this will become something that we will be arguing about. The purpose of the amp rack to showcase as many products I reviewed as possible. That's it. On the amp rack you see Beeses Audio SLQ4400 and Petek Stereo amplifiers, LF audio wireless volume controller, Helix DSP Pro MK3, IsoPower C20 unit, Topping D50 lll DAC and Musway modular fuse blocks.

If you have seen my previous amp racks, you noticed that I like to do things differently, I like my wires exposed and straight with sharp bends. On the previous ones I used super glue, this time I decided to try out solid core copper wire, the same as we have in our houses. And because of this decision everything went off the rails. I used the solid core wire purely for aesthetics - to look good. That's it. When making the amp rack I didn't even think about induced noise, skin effect or possible vibration damage because in my logical mind those were not issues, those things are more theory and not something to worry about in my install. Let me explain.

Noise. I am using an isolated power supply that is a "brick wall" for any electrical noise that could enter the system from the car. The shielding on the low level signal wires in my case is not needed because there are no sources of noise nearby that need to be shielded from. My car is simple, I have no electronics in the back, not even a factory fuse box. And my recent video proves that external noise is not an issue.

Skin effect. This was the second most popular comment. The solid core wire I am using is 1mm in diameter or 0.5mm radius. At 20kHz the skin depth is 0.46mm, which basically means that for audio signals using this gauge wire, the skin effect is negligible.

Vibration damage. This was a huge one. In my mind when I was building the amp rack I strategically placed brackets (or wire holders) every couple of inches. The weakest link are the RCA cables on the LF audio unit, those don't have supports. So the comments were that over time the wire will break. And even up till now I don't understand where this comes from. Yes, solid wire will break if you bend it repeatedly, but that is not happening on a solid amp rack. The board does not flex, the wires are fixed in place. Some even commented about vibrations weakening the wire, which is total nonsense. Take a piece of solid copper wire and put it in the car, anywhere. Drive a couple of years and see, according to those people, that wire will be in pieces. Which just blows my mind..

And lastly people miss the point of WHY I am doing this. Some commented that I am trying to sell something, like the gear I am showing. I don't have any affiliate links for any company that has a product on the amp rack. No discount codes. All I have are reviews. Then one comment was "why am making the amp rack if those Beeses amplifiers will go back?" The answer is simple - because I like this. Every person has their own zen something. Wiring amp racks is my zen. I can spend hours upon hours crunched up over some wires. I truly enjoy it. In my mind this is what a true hobby should be like. No goals, no agendas, no targets or timelines. A hobby is literally a waste of time that you receive pleasure from.

This amp rack was not supposed to make people fight, it was not supposed to be controversial. It was supposed to be "look what I can do" and "look how pretty it is". I am like a child that made a paper flower and want to show it to everyone because I am proud. But... The internet is the internet. And I want to finish with this - don't be afraid to be creative. Don't be scared to try something new, something else, something different. Don't let the norms stop you. All of us are creative in one way or another and all of us deserve to be seen.

Continuing the saga of solid core amp rack. This time I am testing and actually measuring skin effect and added resistance if using terminal blocks for speakers. Early access to my patreons:

I present to you the best of the best from the comment section of my solid core wire amp rack. For those saying that I am putting people "on blast" - I am educating when I can, but sometimes there is nothing to educate. Some of these people are a lost cause. If you feel differently, feel free to jump into the comment section and educate them yourselves.

And talking about education and proof, I have a new video on my channel specifically and on purpose looking for noise in my system. Don't be snowflakes, just have a laugh.

So, I made a thing. This is the most beautiful amp rack I have ever made 🥰 I published it on 12V clean wiring club, let's see how it goes. Early access on my patreon. I am going to sleep now and tomorrow I will start spamming you with reels and pictures 😂
