Hello Friends, I am back after a two week trip from India. During this trip, I visited the Trip Machine Store in Gurgaon, as well as a few Royal Enfield Stores, and picked up a few items for my Classic 650.
Video coming shortly on the haul I brought with me, and the long overdue Review video of the Classic 650. ( I had planned to do a 1000 mile review, but I am now sitting at 2600 miles :-) so it is absolutely overdue).
Went out to drop umika (daughter) to Naperville library and had some time in between.
Randomly started driving to cantigny park.
Stopped at the security to ask if I can take pictures at the colonial building inside with my motorcycle. Looks like that needs a special permit.
Then the roads led me to swami Narayan temple road.
Since I was there decided to take a photo of the bike with the beautiful backdrop of the temple. The temple was closed to new visitors but the guard was kind enough to let me park and take a few photos.
We chatted about the bike. Met another family which was coming in and the gentleman was too excited to see RE.
instead of turning back, I wondered how far was the gurdwara from here.
16 miles.
And so I started riding to Palatine.
The air was cool. Traffic scarce and the road just ok. Clear but bumpy.
Soon I found myself at the gurudwara and fine moments or peace at the diwan sahib.
I was just in time for ardas.
Left the place with some kadah parsad, saving some for the family.
Came outside to take photo of the bike with the gurudwara in the backdrop.
Completely unplanned ride turned into a nice chain of events.

Not everything needs to be planned.
