Mercy is when God steps in and helps us escape the punishment—or sometimes even the full consequences—of our wrong choices. Not because we deserve it, but because He loves us deeply.

God’s mercy saved Ewa, but it was a very close call. And that is the lesson for all of us: never take God’s mercy for granted. Mercy is an invitation to change direction, not a licence to keep walking into danger.

Let’s not mistake God’s kindness for permission to continue in the wrong path. Instead, every act of mercy should draw us closer to God, make us more grateful, and help us choose wisdom the next time around.
