I never thought I’d have to make a post like this.
This month, my dad passed away on his birthday (July 19th) after battling cancer. I hadn’t been able to see him in person for the last 4 years, and because he was in the final stages of cancer, I never got the chance to have one last meaningful conversation or say a proper goodbye.
Since his passing, my family has been dealing with legal disputes and people showing their greed during a time we should be grieving. That have delayed giving him the farewell he deserves. I live in Thailand and simply don’t have the financial means to travel home or help my family with the funeral and legal costs. I’ve never been someone to ask the internet for help, but today I’m putting my pride aside for my family and for my dad.
If my videos have ever helped you or brought you value, and you’ve ever wanted to support me, this would mean more than anything. If you’re able to donate or simply share the GoFundMe, my family and I would be incredibly grateful.
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone in the MPC community who’s been supporting the channel, watching the videos, commenting, buying the eBooks/course, and showing love over the years. I genuinely appreciate it.
I know I haven’t posted in about 3 weeks, but I’ve been taking some time to think about the next direction for the channel. I’m planning to bring new energy, new ideas, and content that feels more aligned with where I’m going creatively, while still helping MPC users get better and make more music.
As a birthday thank you, I’m offering a discount code for anyone who wants to grab something from the store:
Use code: BIRTHDAY20 jaefreshmen.com
And if you just want to show support directly, you can Cash App me here: $jaefreshmen
Thank you again for being part of the journey. More soon 💯
I’ve got a FREE Standalone MPC Masterclass up on YouTube. It mainly covers the 2.15 workflow (with a bit of 3.0 toward the end), but the core concepts still apply and will get you comfortable fast.

Chopping samples feels harder than it should?
It’s probably not your skill… it’s your approach.
Just dropped a new video breaking down how I find chops fast + keep things flowing on the MPC 👇
